Thus it is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory.

Wanted to make a Kithkin tribal deck, but it turned into a soldier/Kithkin tribal instead. Swarm your opponent with many cheap creatures that get even cheaper with Ballyrush Banneret, get card advantage through Thraben Inspector and Legion Conquistador, make them stronger with Veteran Swordsmith and Veteran Armorer (I prefer this one to Veteran Armorsmith because it may be cheaper with Ballyrush), then finish your opponent off by dropping Gempalm Avenger. You can also protect yourself, your blockers or even your attackers with Frontline Strategist or Prismatic Strands.

I'm thinking about giving this deck more card draw by including Palace Sentinels (for Monarch) and Soltari Foot Soldier (to reliably get Monarch back), maybe along with as many fog effects as possible by including more Frontline Strategist and Prismatic Strands as possible, as well as Kor Skyfisher to get the Strategist back.
