Very Ultra Budget G/W Enchantment Looping

Modern

613341

To start things off, I did not include a sideboard because modern is so diverse that it’s better to just make a sideboard yourself against whatever meta you’re playing in.

This deck is intended as a “jumping-off point” and should definitely be tuned depending on how much you want to spend. I tried to make an ultra budget modern deck, and I think it functions alright. It can be a little slow against aggressive decks, but has the tools to grind out most games.

The point of the deck is to set up loops to generate tokens. One loop is using any of the creatures that can exile themselves and spirit bonds to create lots of spirit tokens, this is the easiest loop to set up and, while it works well, is not the fastest path to victory. Another loop is using those same creatures and aspect of mongoose along with sigil of the empty throne. This one is much more powerful, and is the easiest way to win the game. Sigil of the empty throne is great purely based on the number of enchantments in the deck, and you can often win with it just by playing enchantments as you draw them. I suggest play testing the deck to get a feel for what it does, because sometimes it can do some really cool things. And did I mention it’s ultra budget?

It’s probably way too cheap to be competitive, but with some easy upgrades it’s not bad. Rancor is an easy inclusion, and the mana base is one of the first things I’d upgrade. Although due to abundant growth and unbridled growth it’s not entirely necessary, still highly encouraged, but not necessary.

Please feel free to comment with changes that you would make, because there are definitely changes that can be made and I’d like to hear about them. Budget or otherwise.

Again, this deck is not recommended to be played as is. It’s not terrible in theory, this list is just limited by budget. Give it a chance because it might surprise you, and I hope it inspires you to improve upon the idea.
