Sideboard

I got this from several places online, with a few tweaks of my own.

The main plan is simple, ramp out fatties. I'm fairly new to constructed deck building, so the ratio of beef to weenies in the creature department may be off, I would love some help with that... Most of the decks I found ran Pulukranos as the main/only big guy.

Plan B is more of an over run idea. get the Hornet Queen / Hornet Nest out and stall the board to get more fat out there, pump up the hornets/mana dorks with Paragon of Eternal Wilds , and push on through!

So card choices!

Elvish Mystic

Cuz duh. This card is good, ramps, beats on slow starts, chumps late, builds devotion... etc.

Burning-Tree Emissary

This guy is interesting to me, it ramps in the non traditional sense, in that it can make for absolutely crazy explosive turns with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx but seems like it gets outclassed rather quickly by a lot of things in the format... but those turns though, when it works, it really really works...

Voyaging Satyr

Same as the Emissary, shenanigans with the Nykthos are too good to pass up. It is also just plain ramp, and in the late game can provide sudo vigilance to the the Nissa lands.

Courser of Kruphix

I need some form of card advantage, this fits the bill as best green can. The incidental life gain helps too, and it sounds like fun (if not entirely practical) to ult Nissa with him in play. Also helps a lot against aggro/Wennie strategy, and that is nothing to sneeze at.

Hornet Nest

This can buy time, and has some fun built in synergy with the rest of the deck. It's main job is to stall the board against fatties to give us more time to ramp and build our hand. In a bind we can also use Setessan Tactics to fight one of our big bros against it for board stopping value! After we actually get hornets out of it, we can use it to even do a one sided board wipe with Setessan Tactics, as mana shouldn't be an issue...

Polukranos, World Eater

Big Daddy Plukranos. This guy is pretty awesome, 5/5 for 4 with a monstrous? Must answer. much good. Wow.

Hornet Queen

This is a lot of power on the board, and a lot of death touch too! I might end up cutting this one, but we will see how it tests. It might just be better to run more Hydras or another couple of Polukranos... But I do like how it gives a plan B to the usual "Have more fat" plan.

Nissa, Worldwaker

This card is pretty good! it ramps! it gives dudes! I think honestly this will be the main win con against anything that doesn't run board sweepers. 4/4's with trample is pretty sexy... just sayin...

Mortal's Resolve

This is for protecting against removal, with more in the sideboard for mono black and such.

Setessan Tactics

This is the really fun card in this deck! Fight their dudes with your Hornets! Throw the Hornet's nest at Polukranos! I love it!

Chord of Calling

This card is insane, especially after board. We can find the creatures we need, and we have tons of dorks and ramp to use it quickly. It essentially turns into 4 extra copies of our best cards when we need them.

Sideboard:

Could use some work. I think that is what I want, but I don't have a ton of experience in the format, so I expect it to change as I play more and learn my local meta game.
