Going out of my comfort zone to make Orzhov vamps, based on pulling a Twilight Prophet from the prerelease.
The idea I'm starting with is generating bodies to get Twilight Prophet up and running as soon as possible using cards such as Start / Finish, Legion's Landing
, maybe an Elenda, the Dusk Rose and possibly mavrein fein, dusk apostle. Then with Twilight Prophet out the few double cards are bombs and it's just a blocking game.
Alright, so say I have a Bontu's Monument out, then, I have an Oathsworn Vampire and a Pitiless Plunderer out, yeah? Then, I play something that's a sac outlet, Yahenni, Undying Partisan comes to mind. Then I have INFINITY VAMPIRES! (note: not actually infinity vampires. just infinity plays of Oathsworn Vampire for life drain with Bontu's Monument so kinda infinite vampirism) and if there's an Oketra's Monument out I get infinite warriors. It's pretty unfocused so a lot of that will probably have to be SB in/out, but fun stuff!
The new idea for this deck is that it's token gen vampires with some lifedrain and a heavy focus on the blocking game. The chance to go infinite is there...
This deck is nowhere near even approaching completion. Any advice on standard would be appreciated as I'm used to the wild, wonderful, janky world of EDH.

Happy Birthday to me! On top of that this deck has changed an incredible amount. Just wow. It's still got those combo pieces in but it's vamps and I don't even really know what I'm building but it feels pretty okay. Any advice is welcomed and appreciated!
1/22/18 This deck is still vamps tribal, based around that good ol' fashioned Twilight Prophet. I'm pretty sure that my biggest weakness here will be control both against me and controlling my opponent. I'm fairly budget, most of this deck has been built with cards I already had, but as always help is appreciated!
