This is my first attempt at making a noble deck, so I decided to go a bit nostalgic with it. It's based on a standard deck I ran back in the Zendikar days. It's basically fast vampire aggro with spot removal and hand disruption to assure that my Lacerators can get through so I stop bleeding. However the deck's problem is its vulnerability to cheap burn. Duress helps but it still is not foolproof. Any suggestions on how to get around this?

Noble: Vampire Nocturnus

Uncommons: 2x Gatekeeper of Malakir. 2x Vampire Nighthawk

Love vampire tribal :) One of the first decks I ever saw

Dash Hopes and Psychotic Episode might work for control, or you could fight fire with fire Tragic Slip, Dismember or Bump in the Night if you mix red vamps

I completely forgot about Dash Hopes, that could certainly help, regardless of what my opponent chooses. Great suggestion. Unfortunately adding red vamps to the deck would make Vampire Nocturnus a lot less consistent, and the other Vampire lords aren't quite fast enough to keep up with the others in my opinion. The only way to offset that is to run Veinfire Borderposts, but that would slow the deck down as well.

Terribly sorry! Forgot about his "black card" only ability. Shadow Slice is another option if you can get the hits but it's expensive.
