Vampire Aristocrats (Rivals of Ixalan Standard)

Standard* Aggro Aristocrats Tokens Tribal Vampires W/B (Orzhov)

ClockGear

Description

This is a deck that focusses on a few things, vampires, tokens and sacrificing those tokens. This deck tries to create and army of vampires (and some servos) and overwhelm the opponent, while also generating value with some sacrifice outlets.

Those outlets are:

  • Yahenni, Undying Partisan: Pretty powerful creature with free sacrifice outlet (is also a vampire).
  • Hidden Stockpile: Generates servo's every turn and helps with future draws using the scry.
  • Bontu the Glorified: Just a big creature that can attack regularly because of all the tokens we sacrifice.

We also have a focus on vampires. The deck plays some lords (Legion Lieutenant) and a good amount of vampires that have Vampire synergies. The deck has a lot of 2x and 1x of vampires that we can find with our Forerunner of the Legion.

Suggestions

Updates Add

-1 Yahenni, Undying Partisan
-2 Plains
-1 Swamp

+1 Twilight Prophet
+2 Shefet Dunes
+1 Ifnir Deadlands

I've removed Yahenni in favor of Twilight Prophet since I can tutor her out, and she is legendary, I also wanted another way of drawing cards and Twilight Prophet does that and much more. Also I've added some deserts for some nice abilities on them.

Comments

Maybe try out Oathsworn Vampire? While it doesn't exactly go along with your token plan, its still a creature to continuously sac. It also pretty decent with Forerunner of the Legion, pumping some vampires while getting other triggers.

This is an awesome take on vampires! I really like what you did here with the bontu, hidden stockpile, and elenda synergies. I think you could potentially get some good ideas from my version of vampires. If I were to pick a few cards from mine that could be good here they would be: Vona's Hunger, Angel of Invention, and maybe one copy of Twilight Prophet main board to have accessible through the forerunner. We had the same idea with the forerunner. Turn 3 twilight prophet with ascend activated!. I am aware that it is insanely unlikely to draw the right cards to fulfill the name but its kinda just to intrigue viewers so they look deeper into the rest of the deck. Id also like to here your feedback on my take of vampires if it is t too much trouble. Thanks!

@Illuminate21 I think Oathsworn Vampire could be kind of interesting, but I think it's just not powerful enough.

@Legendary_penguin_of_death I think Vona's Hunger won't do enough, Angel of Invention is a very strong card, but also mana-intensive which would mean I could put in a lot of them and I rather use those slots for vampires I can tutor out, I want to play the Twilight Prophet, but I just need to find the room for it (I think I can fit it in). Shefet Dunes is in for sure, but I think I'll also add Ifnir Deadlands. Thanks for the suggestions.

Im considering ifnir for mine as well but am just not sure I will ever really need it. I guess adding one or two wouldnt hurt too much tho. I would take out 1 yahenni for twilight prophet since he is legendary and can always be tutored.
