Vaevictis Asmadi's Wild Ride

Commander / EDH* BRG (Jund) Theme/Gimmick

Rell

What do you think of when you think of a dragon?

There are several acceptable answers to this question. Maybe you see a dragon pillaging a city or fortress, destroying everything in his path. Maybe you think of a final boss in a video game.
There is only one thing these all share in common, and that would be a sense of power.
That is exactly what you're gonna project in your game of edh when you slam the mad lad Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire on the table. The entire table will simultaneously realize that nothing they play is safe.
This deck is about taking advantage of killing things YOU have that want to die, and some things your opponents have that probably don't want to die.

So you definitely want Vaevictis out AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. He is a sacrifice outlet, which our deck sorely needs. We want to ramp in the early first couple turns with the goal of bringing our dragon out so we can start smacking people around a bit.
I quite literally have an entire custom category dedicated to what it is that you WANT to kill over other things. That being said, if you are tremendously unlucky and can't find any of these tools, just sack something, digging through your deck is very helpful. If you can find a way to cheat something good onto the top of your deck, maybe with a Worldly Tutor or a Sensei's Divining Top you can always just trade a land or something for it. If you manage to stick an It That Betrays for a full rotation of the table, the next time you make your opponents all sack their best permanents, you then get that permanent. It's great. If you can manage to acquire an extra combat phase from World at War, then you don't even need to wait another rotation of the table.
Now, while I understand wholeheartedly that this is not acceptable in some playgroups, destroying lands with Vaevictis can be very strong. If your opponent is playing Bant and only has one blue? You can just remove that blue and all of their effective countermagic from the game. Large creatures are also great hits. Vaevictis lets you dodge all forms of evasion. Since as the player you choose a permanent, you can just pick anything you want. While it does do poorly into Sigarda, Host of Herons, you shouldn't really have issues removing anybody elses permanents.
