My take on Azorius Soulblade from the Pro Tour.

This deck attempts to protect the Ensoul Artifact mini-combo from the immense amount of removal in Standard with 10 spells:

• 4 Stubborn Denial - This card does a lot of work. The Ferocious is easily enabled from an Ensouled Artifact, a Buffed Hero of Iroas , or a Phyrexian Revoker with a Ghostfire Blade, but also counters on-curve removal.
• 4 Gods Willing
• 2 Feat of Resistance

I decided to take Aqueous Form over Stratus Walk . Since my goal is to protect my Voltron'd creatures, the constant scry from Aqueous seems better than the 1-time draw of Stratus. Being able to block on the ground (or air / ground in case of Ornithopter) is relevant as well.

Because this deck only has a few, although hopefully powerful Voltron'd creatures, Ajani Steadfast does an amazing job of making them even better - letting us attack with first strike, gain life, and have a blocker.
