UW Infinite Mill Combo, Now With Beatdown!!! (Standard MTG Deck)

Here's another Timmy/Johnny combo deck. I normally don't do mill decks, but when I saw Altar of the Brood I realized there was an opportunity with Ornithopter and Midnight Guard to create an insta-dead Mill combo.

The plan is simple: play an Altar, play a Midnight Guard, cast Retraction Helix on the Guard, then use Midnight Guard's ability to untap whenever a creature comes into play and bounce the hell out of that 'thopter. Each time it enters the battlefield the Guard untaps and the top of the opponent's library goes to his graveyard. Do this until they have no cards, and then, bam, gg.

OK, maybe it's not that simple, but it would be badass to pull it off even once!

The rest of the deck is a UW beatdown shell. Illusory Angel and Ensoul Artifact start bringing the pain as early as turns 2 and 3, and Dakra Mystic and Jace sculpt your draws while filling your yard for your Dig Through Times.

Clever Impersonator is here for some redundancy, acting as a backup guard if you're facing burn/lots of removal, or as a secondary Ensoul or Angel if you're completely on the beatdown plan.

I don't have a sideboard yet, so any thoughts on that would be super helpful.

So a very nice player has playtested this deck and remains undefeated against the various test decks players are creating in anticipation of rotation.

That's right--UNDEFEATED BABY!

The feedback is that Jace, the Living Guildpact sucks. So I'm putting in Briber's Purse as an extra 0-mana spell, and another Illusory Angel to beef up our beatdown plan.

The sideboard continues to suck, sorry folks. Let me know what you would play!
