Sideboard

I was tired of seeing control decks with huge $200-$300 price tags. So I made one for about $80. I have no idea how this deck will do in a tournament setting, but I can hope for the best. Now on to the cards:

First off, we have the creatures:

AEtherling is a staple in control decks. Auto include, and it is only one dollar per copy, so it's a pretty sweet deal! Functions as a win condition, just make sure you pass with one blue left up to blink it out to prevent removal from hitting it!

Prognostic Sphinx dat scry tho. Lets you lay on some damage in the air while scrying 3 every time!

Artifacts:

Elixir of Immortality yet again functions as getting a shuffle effect if you're getting huge land pockets, and gets cards cough cough Elspeth cough cough back from the bin. It also gains us life, which is good in a deck without Sphinx's Revelation

Enchantments:

Detention Sphere is pretty standard in control decks, and it's not too expensive either!

Walkers:

Elspeth, Sun's Champion is the major win condition of this deck. PROTECT HER SINCE THERE'S ONLY ONE. Keep ticking up to that ultimate!

Jace, Architect of Thought can generate some major card advantage with his minus ability, and can slow down aggro decks with his plus. All for 4 mana!

Lands:

Azorius Guildgate is all we can really afford on this budget unless we wanted to cut other stuff.

Instants:

AEtherize is very good against anything with creatures heading in for a lethal swing. Make them recast everything!

Azorius Charm is good to draw a card, gain some life, or get rid of those pesky attacking creatures!

Cyclonic Rift does work against everything with permanents. If you want to overload and push in with Elspeth tokens, that would end a game possibly!

Dissolve and Syncopate all function as counter spells to keep the board clear!

Opportunity is like a budget Sphinx's Revelation only without the life gain.

Quicken allows you to wipe the board on their end step or draw 3 cards for 4 mana!

Sorceries:

Supreme Verdict is a staple for U/W control, and it's cheap! It's very good to keep the board under control. Sadly, it hits Prognostic Sphinx but it works well with AEtherling since you can just blink it out before you cast it.

Divination is good slow draw. It's a little faster with Quicken however.

That's the cards! I hope you all like this, and please let me know if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them!

Updates Add

I took out the Thassa, God of the Sea for 3 more Supreme Verdict. The board wipes are sooooo essential. This deck needs to keep the board clear, so the easiest way is to just use Supreme Verdict
