Urza, Maniac Leveling Stax

Commander / EDH Mono-Blue

Hellos and thanks for looking at my deck! Now to go over some not so obvious reasons for cards in the deck and hidden combos that are in the deck.

Dreamscape Artist + Crucible of Worlds helps thin the deck out while my opponents are fighting through the stax and I find my pieces for "A" win con.

Riptide Laboratory + Snapcaster Mage or Tribute Mage or Trinket Mage or Archaeomancer assists me in getting what I want need or desire at the time.

Aphetto Alchemist and Vizier of Tumbling Sands these 2 creatures serve good utility in un-tapping the pesky upkeep of the Mana Vault and good general utility to untap mana when needed. The Vizier of Tumbling Sands and the Lonely Sandbar (I never play this as a Land for my turn) share a common utility in that they both cycle. When Cycling a card for a win con with Jace, Wielder of Mysteries or Laboratory Maniac on the battlefield the chances for a win con are increased due to cycling mechanic only being able to be countered via Stifle effect on the card draw, and there are FAR fewer cards, in MTG, that can stifle, rather than counter a spell.

I've seen many Urza builds and this the best I could do with the cards I had and NOT break the bank with cards I didn't have.(I actually bought the now banned engine the before the banning, and got the card in the mail yesterday and now I can't play it either.) This being said these cards I don't have: Power Artifact , Misty Rainforest , Grim Monolith , Transmute Artifact and probably a few others that should be on here, that I can't afford in my budget.

2 edits so far: I removed Spellseeker for Azami, Lady of Scrolls and Ponder for Stroke of Genius I have found that after getting Urza, Lord High Artificer on the battlefield, the need for cards in hand was large as I can seemingly cast a large amount spells fast with the increased amount of mana available so the need for large card draw was the reason for the changes.

Thanks again for looking at my deck,

Very Respectfully
