Here is my version of Urza, Lord High Artificer. This deck is meant to be a Stax/Combo deck relying on its interaction suite of counterspells, bounce/removal spells (i.e. Into the Roil and Rapid Hybridization)and Stax pieces such as Winter Orb, Static Orb and Back to Basics to control the early game for a combo finish afterwards. One of the best things about this Commander is the ability to use the Stax pieces as mana rocks as well. You can get out Winter Orb and shut everyone else down and on the turn before yours at the end step you tap it for mana with Urza’s ability and you completely circumvent the negative side effect of the card. The interaction is incredibly good.

The combo this deck focuses on generating infinite mana with a couple methods. There’s the classic Isochron Scepter+Dramatic Reversal with some mana rocks out, or using Rings of Brighthearth+Grim Monolith then sinking it all into Urza himself to play things like Laboratory Maniac or the new Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and win the game.

In the event that Urza is not accessible either due to effects from things like Gilded Drake and similar cards you can still sink the mana into something like Walking Ballista as a back up.
