When I first saw Uril, the Miststalker, I probably thought the same thing every other EDH player thinks when they first saw him: "holy crap! I gotta build a deck around him." So my 3rd EDH deck soon came into construction. I had worked on it a bit, and refined it somewhat, but the deck was just so strong. I hadnt even fine tuned the deck, and it was winning a rediculous amount of games. I decided out of fairness that I would not use the deck anymore. Recently, some of my play groups decks have become about as scary as Uril himself is, so I decided to put some work into the relic and bring it back to life.

The biggest problem with a Uril deck is how to play around him getting hit with a Hinder or Hallowed Burial. Most of the deck is designed around making the Miststalker a big bad dude that kills in 2 hits. Finding other creatures that will benefit from the suite of enchantment buffs to fill out the rest of your deck is critical in making a Uril build successful. That is why you will find cards like Thran Golem and Flaring Flame-Kin in my deck.

The mana base needs an overhaul, with an addition of Taiga , the Ravnica Dual Lands, more fetch lands. Some of these lands are simply in here due to me not having anything better.

I also want to add in some other cards, such as Argothian Enchantress, Enchantress's Presence, Replenish and Privileged Position. I have quite a bit of spot removal due to enchantments, in addition to Path and Swords, so I will probably cut a few of those extra aura's for these cards. I also want to fit in Starstorm for Savage Twister and Akroma, Angel of Wrath for Razia, Boros Archangel . I will be putting some additional work into the critters section of this deck in the near future.

As usual, I am open to suggestions to my build and I hope that this helps others with their own Uril deck.
