Maybeboard


Goal is to ramp into dragons and decimate opponents in the air. Early turns start out with playing your ramp, haste enablers, or passive card draw. Next you play dragons, use the dragons to destroy opponents, and profit.

Mana Base - Pretty standard for a 5 color deck. All the fetch lands I own and ten shock lands. Also a few basics to search for off of something like Path to Exile. We also have some five colored lands and other duals like the battlebond lands. It is important to have one triome as that allows Scion of Draco to cost 1.

Creatures - Selvala, Heart of the Wilds can produce a ton of mana and help draw us cards since a decent amount of time our dragons will be the biggest on the table. Faeburrow Elder can provide ludicrous amounts of ramp and grow into a moderate threat on his own. Dryad of the Ilysian Grove is a card that acts like another Chromatic Lantern and helps us to dump our lands onto the battlefield.

Noncreatures - We have a variety of ramp with land ramp like Farseek and we also have mana rocks in the form of Chromatic Lantern and Urza's Incubator among others. - Card Draw is found with spells like Mystic Remora, Rhystic Study, and Return of the Wildspeaker. We can also get value from our dragons with cards like Temur Ascendancy. - Removal is also a wide variety. A lot of our dragons function as removal, but we also have one-sided board wipes like Austere Command, Cyclonic Rift and Crux of Fate. In addition, we have single target removal with Anguished Unmaking, and Assasin's Trophy.

  • Recursion and Protection is also present as dragons are very powerful to cheat out from the graveyard and we don;t want them to die either. Heroic Intervention Saves all our permanents from anything short of mass exile. Animate Dead is essentially a two mana dragon.

  • Plainswalkers are normally not found in EDH decks, but these two have immense value. Ugin, the Spirit Dragon is a boardwipe and a win-condition that can be bought back with Haven of the Spirit Dragon. Sarkhan, Fireblood is also ramp, card filtering which can be abused due to several graveyard interactions, and board presence. He is so cheap and efficient it would be a travesty to not run him.
