Maybeboard

Pros:

  • You like drawing cards - LOTS OF CARDS

  • You like having a response to everything

  • You agree that Izzet RULES

  • Relatively low-ish budget

Cons:

  • Not very stompy or aggressive

  • You don't like reacting to your opponents' moves

  • The deck can be kind of grindy when trying to control the board and get a win in at the same time.

In the beginning of the game, you want to ramp out quickly and try to get Rielle, the Everwise out on turn 2 or three with cards like Sol Ring , Jeweled Amulet , and Lotus Petal .
In the middle of game, this is where we really start to dominate the game! Here, what this deck wants to do is to be able to chain things into each other over and over again. Here, we can cast spells like Windfall , Tolarian Winds , and activate abilities like Magus of the Bazaar . By doing this, we draw so many cards, that we can have answers to almost everything that our opponent can do. It's always good to hold up blue sources while casting wheels so that you can have counterspells up if you draw them. Essentially, in the mid-game, just try to set up draw engines, and draw as many cards as you can!!!!!
"I just want my tombstone to say: 'He died the way he would've wanted, drawing cards.'" - Josh Lee Kwai

Nothing, and I mean just about NOTHING encompasses this deck better than this one statement. The only difference with our deck is that when we mill out like Josh, we plan to win. Using effects like Thassa's Oracle , Laboratory Maniac , and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries , we can win the game through card draw! In fact, we draw so many cards, that it's surprisingly easy to find these kinds of effects. If we can't find them, then we still have ways to kill our opponents by turning our discards or draws into damage. Cards like Brallin, Skyshark Rider  , Glint-Horn Buccaneer , and Psychosis Crawler can help us kill our opponents with damage. On the rarest of occasions, we might even be able to just kill an opponent with commander damage. Even if we don't manage to pull off any of these strategies, then THE best way to concede a game of Magic is to deck yourself. Thank you for looking at this decklist, and reading this! If you liked the deck, please give it an upvote!

- Shenanigans looks extremely inconspicuous the first time you read it. However, this card is far better than it may appear in this deck. Firstly, because of the ability to bring it back to our hand, most of the time we can choose to discard it because of how easily we can get it back. Secondly, because this card can come back multiple times, it can make opponents afraid to even play artifacts against us. I personally think that this card is crazy underrated and should see a lot more play.
- Dreamscape Artist is a card that many people put in Rielle decks. I didn't put it in this build because I believe that it is too slow. First, it's a creature that comes down on turn two and can't be activated that turn. Then, if you played it on turn two, you have to decide whether you ramp or play Rielle, the Everwise . This is pretty problematic, and this card gets worse the more you think about it. If you use it when Rielle, the Everwise isn't on the field, this card becomes a bit lackluster. I think that there are too many downsides to this card to justify playing it.
