The strategy is to play undying creatures like Butcher Ghoul, Strangleroot Geist, and Young Wolf, then sac them with Defiant Salvager, Vampiric Rites, and Altar's Reap to put +1/+1 counters of them. Use Retribution of the Ancients and Scarscale Ritual to remove the +1/+1 counters and loop the process.

Keep creating more +1/+1 counters with Winding Constrictor and win with Butcher of Malakir.

Strangleroot Geist has haste so it can be sac'd to put +1/+1 counters on it and attack in the same turn.

The strategy is to play undying creatures like Butcher Ghoul, Demonlord of Ashmouth, and Evernight Shade, then sweep the board with Mutilate and come back even stronger with +1/+1 counters while your opponent struggles to recover.

Sacrifice engines to pump up undying creatures are Nantuko Husk, Phyrexian Vault, and Bone Splinters. Reassembling Skeleton provides recurring sac fodder. Each sacrifice triggers Tragic Slip and all the deaths from Mutilate trigger Quest for the Gravelord and Dark Prophecy.

Retribution of the Ancients lets you pull counters off your undying creatures before dropping Mutilate to ensure they survive. It also ensures that your opponents biggest creatures die if Mutilate isn't enough.
