Flying fishes? Now I've seen it all.. —Nov. 30, 2018
-1 Thran Dynamo +1 Archetype of Imagination
-1 Gilded Lotus +1 Forest
After trying the deck out some more, I got the feeling that it is a bit on the ramp-heavy side with little use of all the mana in the late game. I've decided to take a look at reducing the ramp a bit in order to fit more payoff-cards into the deck.
As a start, I've removed the somewhat boring mana-rock Thran Dynamo in order to give Archetype of Imagination a try instead. The synergy together with Stormtide Leviathan seems to be pretty strong. It should also work very good paired with the rest of my big-bodied creatures.
I also find the thought of giant flying fishes to be hilarious!
The other change made is the removal of Gilded Lotus for a basic Forest. I always feel like Gilded Lotus is a bit lackluster. Sure, it gives me some good ramp, but how much does that matter if I miss the fourth land drop and can't let my ramping commander out to play? I believe this will fix some early mana issues I've run into, but I will have to test it out more.
