Because I LOVE silly combos and unusual decks I worked on a mono-red deck. I haven't built mono-red in forever (and honestly I think this most recent version of standard hasn't been generous to mono-red, and is overly generous on healing, but that just makes it a challenge)

All that aside, I give you:

Red unblockable draw!

This deck is built around Break Through the Line. Haste and unblockable is GREAT for only 1 mana.

Prophetic Flamespeaker Is our main hero, and has only 1 attack (and double strike) - Just give him either Dragon Mantle or Titan's Strength (after making him unblockable) and he will deal a TON of damage!!! Then he "draws" you cards. Dump the pump spells on Akroan Crusader and the burns wherever you'd like. You are allowed to play lands that he gives you!

This is a red aggro deck that doesn't burn out after turn 6 - With unblockable creatures and a growing mana base and a source of draw you can battle on into the mid game.

During testing I once attacked for over 20 life after dropping 2 Thunderous Might on a Prophetic Flamespeaker !!! Healing be damned, we'll burn right through!!!

This deck out paced EVERYTHING.

The one game I lost was because for some reason I drew exclusively lands and non-creature spells (many of which require the use of at least one creature...) I have never been mana-screwed either too much or too little because this deck runs nicely on 1-3 mana, but if I have 6 that's just more mana to feed Dragon Mantle and Lightning Berserker

The most exciting play from last night was:

I had 8 mana, because I was playing Vs a U/B control deck and drew a bit more mana than usual. I had nothing on the board but Break Through the Line so my opponent decided now was a good time to tap out to play Silumgar, the Drifting Death. I knew I was free to cast anything next turn without a response! I top decked Borderland Marauder 2 mana to play him, one to give him unblockable and haste 1 mana for Dragon Mantle and the last 4 mana for Thunderous Might x2. I swung for 13 DAMAGE leaving my opponent with about 3 HP remaining. The rest is history.

This deck easily outpaced midranged, out damaged aggro, and even broke through control. For only $50 this silly Combo-Aggro deck did it'self proud!
