So after play testing a bit this is the 2.0 version of my Ultimate Fungus deck. It still could use some tuning but it is effective in a multiplayer setting. Yes, it is very expensive. You could reduce the price of the deck pretty quickly by dropping the Gaia's Cradle, Demonic Tutor , Deserted Temple , Doubling Season , Extraplanar Lens , and snow lands. It would give you a much more reachable version for the average person who has any sort of collection that they aren't building it from scratch.

I love it for casual EDH because once it gets firing on all cylinders it makes it very hard to deal with unless there is a lot of targeted removal. In my meta board wipes are common but targeted remove is much harder to come by. In board wipe situations you will often get to a point that an opponent can do so to slow you down. However, doing so without target removal of certain creatures will often cause them a lot of pain off your death triggers.

The goal of the deck is simple. Make as many tokens as possible then use them as sacrificial fuel to burn everyone else down. So naturally the deck has lots of sac outlets and token creation/multiplying effects. Also, the mana ramp is fairly robust because once Slimefoot is out he is a great place to dump excess mana to create tokens.

A couple of combos to shout out. Ashnod's Altar and Illusionist's Bracers make a great infinite combo with Slimefoot, the Stowaway . Doubling Season and Saproling Burst can easily translate into 28 damage to all opponents and +28 life to you. Mid to late game this is going to be game ending when people have taken hits random damage along the way or in addition to Slimefoot you have things like Sanguine Blood or Poison-Tip Archer to amplify the effect.

Enchantments: This deck is fairly enchantment heavy. There are also a few enchantments like Doubling Season that make your token situation accelerate like crazy. Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Blood are an infinite combo together but also when used with Blood Artist type creatures in the deck (or the commander) net you a ton more mileage out of each saproling death. Enchantments are also a big source of your card draw. Deathreap Ritual I think is great in this deck. It is fairly innocent looking and can easily net you an extra couple cards each lap around the table with minimal effort on your part or strategically sacrificing your own creatures.

Creatures: There are a lot of thallid's in the deck which some of them could probably be replaced but they often have useful sac outlets for killing off your Saprolings while incidentally helping build your token count over time (without drawing a lot of hate). Cards like Deathspore Thallid with your tokens end up giving you a targeted removal effect that will eliminate most small to medium sized creatures. Things like Poison-Tip Archer , Blood Artist , and Zulaport Cutthroat replicate Slimefoot's ability to get value from your own creatures dying.

Lands: Yes I have Gaia's Cradle in the deck. Why? Well it is awesome. Also, I'm lucky enough to own a few because I hoarded them back in the day when they were about a twentieth (or less) of the price they are now (something like $300?). Only others out of the ordinary golgori combo. Glacial Chasm , great for stalling out if things get out of hand. Plus with Slimefoot you can gain back some life to buy extra turns with it. It has literally won me games against unblockable creatures and when I started loosing a spawning token race. Snow covered lands? Extraplanar Lens , enough said.

Board Wipes? Golgori staples, Gaze of Granite , Black Sun's Zenith , Toxic Deluge . In addition, Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos do a great job of clearing things out when you start sac-ing your saprolings.
