Sorcery (1)

The cards in this deck are divided into two general groups: discard enablers and discard payoffs. The two most important enablers are Wild Mongrel and Merfolk Looter; Mongrel allows for explosive starts while Looter helps grind out the long game with card advantage. The main madness payoffs are Circular Logic, Basking Rootwalla, and Arrogant Wurm. Rootwalla and Wurm tack on extra aggression while Circular Logic protects them and/or counters opposing threats. Careful Study fills the graveyard quickly for Hooting Mandrills (which can be played on turn 2) and creates card advantage itself with the madness cards.

I took took a more control-oriented approach by playing 2 Counterspell, Foil, and Waterfront Bouncer in the main over Rancor and more copies of Vines of Vastwood. Foil is both a madness enabler and a tap-out protection spell while Waterfront Bouncer does a very good job of disrupting opposing blockers and threats.
