I went to game day today and went 3-1, securing 2nd.
Round 1: Bye (1-0)
Round 2: Loss (1-2). Played against red/white. Couldn't stop lifegain and Mirran Crusader
Round 3: Win (2-0). Played against a "zombie" pod. I didn't see much that I couldn't stop.
Round 4: Win (2-0). Played against UG infect. I never played against infect and didn't get infected. It was nice.

If you're splashing blue, why not add 2 Grimgrin, Corpse-Born . It may be alittle expensive for this deck, but it has great synergy with Gravecrawler .
Personally I would remove the Vile Rebirth , as it may be a little too situational for this deck. Sure you'll get a few 2/2s but they won't win you the game? Maybe try Highborn Ghoul s, nice and offensive.

May be high mana cost but it may be a style you're looking for.

This deck needs 2x Killing Wave , really badly.
awesome deck, dig it. Check out my zombies intitled it under rotation something or other. Its very similiar, minus vile rebirth, inthink that's a sidedecker imo, but if it works, hey by all means. Without killing wave, you won't stand a chance against rg aggro or delver and esper delver, the best decks right now. Take a gander at my list, I hope it will help and good lookmon disciple. She's prolly my favorite black card at the moment for zombies.
I agree on Phantasmal Image and Phyrexian Metamorph . You need those.
I'm trying to stay away from things that will rotate out too, unless I already have them of course. So I can totally understand not wanting to get the Phantasmal Images in there. I'm running a pair of Evil Twins in my sideboard. It's a bit experimental right now but I'll see how things go.
If your having problems with mirrian crusader, porcelian legionair ( i most likely misspelled it) is a great way to stop him.
Please post sideboard for evaluation.
Evil Twin sounds good to me...you definitely need those mainboard to copy card:Geralf's Messenger, Diregraf Captain , or any powerful opposing creatures. It should be the top of your curve, pretty much. Maybe take out two Disciple of Bolas ? What do others think? Is Evil Twin better than Clone , Phyrexian Metamorph , or Phantasmal Image ? Which is best? I think that Image is best for legend-killing, while metamorph is best overall, and evil twin is best if you're running U/B.
On a positive note, I do like your removal suite. Perhaps move Vile Rebirth to sideboard? card:Geth's Verdict and Mortarpod are about to rotate out, so you will probably need to upgrade to Barter in Blood or Smallpox .
Smallpox rotates out too.
Phantasmal Image is the cheapest, but is gone if it's the target of a spell or ability. So you can't pump it. Phyrexian Metamorph let's you be an artifact as well, and it's potentially cheaper. Clone and Evil Twin have the same CMC, but Evil Twin lets you destroy what you copied.
I like the idea of being able to destroy. But I also like the cheapness of the Phantasmal Image .

I really like this. I have a mono black that I am looking for ideas for post rotation. I think I may have found an idea or two. I like the mana curve too. Have you thought to run any Shimian Specter ? Just a thought.
