I always enjoyed playing Thing in the Ice   in Modern, and when I saw the beauty of it, I wanted it in every format plausible. ENTER STANDARD

The biggest disadvantage is obviously the lack of access to Delver of Secrets  , Lightning Bolt, Scalding Tarn, and Steam Vents ... however, with all those excluded, I have had a considerable amount of success with this deck.
