Sideboard

Most have seen the Aura Hexproof, also referred to as bogles, in some form or fashion. Lately the deck has seen a decrease in play, which I find completely unjustified and find it hard t believe since most people I talk to say they hate playing against it. Aura Hexproof will punish the opponent if they can't keep up, while essentially making a good chunk of most decks useless since removal doesn't work so well against this deck. My variant is pretty similar to Reid Duke's deck when he came in second in the 2013 World Championship. Most Aura Hexproof decks that are winning the big tournaments are the ones that are more of an all in approach; however, lately, many decks have been including removal like Path to Exile or defense like Spellskite in the mainboard. I chose against this defensive build in favor of the aggressive build because it fits my play style better, that's the version that is winning, and with how aggressive modern is right now you have to be fast. The biggest differences are the lack of Horizon Canopy, 2 less Keen Sense s in favor of 2 Spirit Mantle, and then of course the sideboard. The biggest problem with the deck is the fact that it only runs 12 creatures. It runs so few to ensure you draw what you actually need since you usually just want to pump one creature to make it as big as possible. It of course makes mulligans more common; however, with the onset of the new draw rule, it may not be as much of a problem anymore. I hope some of you try the deck out and in turn convert you to an Aura Hexproof player!

DECK DESCRIPTION

CREATURES

Gladecover Scout and Slippery Bogle: Just the typical 1/1 hexproof creatures needed for the deck to run quickly

Kor Spiritdancer: Pretty good card, yes it doesn't have hexproof, but in a hexproof deck, the opponnent wil lside out remocal and she gets big fast.

Enchantments*

Daybreak Coronet: Wow...isn't this card just amazing? It's only drawback is that the creature already has to be enchanted.

Ethereal Armor: This card was made for this deck.

Hyena Umbra and Spider Umbra : Just two efficient cards that give pumps, abilities, and saves a creature from being destroyed.

Rancor: Nice pump and trample is always nice to have on a big creature.

Spirit Mantle: not only does it give that pump, but also give pro creatures.

Keen Sense : Draw is always great, works on turn 2, and helps without any Horizon Canopys.

Unflinching Courage: As the highest costing card in the deck, it better do a lot.

Lands

Really the only land to talk about here is Dryad Arbor. It's a nifty card that will help out a deck that doesn't have too many creatures. Only problem it has is that since it is a creature, it can be removed easily.

Sideboard

Leyline of Sanctity: Works well against those burn and discard decks

Path to Exile no explination needed...nnot in mainboard because of all in approach. Stony Silence: Shuts down Spellskite, affinity, and tron

Nature's Claim: For obvious reasons. Spellskite is an issue. The life gain isn't a big deal at all since I'll be swinging with huge guys and likely gaining life anyways.

Grafdigger's Cage: There's a lot of creatures being played from libraries and graveyards now and flashback has always been a thing.

Spirit Link: This is the slot where Keen Sense slides into. There's already 7 sources of lifegain and card draw in this deck proves to be much more valuable. Plus, it always has a plus side where Spirit Link would lose value if another source of lifelink was played. *------------------------------------------

Cards Not Included*

Horizon Canopy: Don't have the money to invest in it right now.

Gaddock Teeg: Too many better options. The totem armor from the 8 main boarded umbras protects against wrath spells, you want to worry about Spellskite in control matchups and not wraths or cryptics, and Stony Silence works better against tron while pumping Ethereal Armor.

Suppression Field : Stony Silence takes care of more of my worries and still lets me use fetches

Thanks for reading guys! Like I said, this is very similar to other aura hexproof decks, just with one or two tweaks. Please read the above before commenting if you haven't.

Updates Add

After a very long time of not using the deck I decided to return to it. I've done a lot more research on it and have redone a lot of the deck to this form based off of Reid Duke's 2013 deck that placed second place in the World Championship. I have added a few of my own tweaks to the deck.
