So I referred to this user's Tyma/Sidar Shadowborn Apostles deck when creating mine. It is pretty much the same deck except I made some changes for budgetary reasons. I swapped Gaea's Cradle with Growing Rites of Ithlamac as well as Lion's Eye Diamond for Lotus Bloom. I made other exchanges too that I can't recall off the top of my head.

I'm seeking advice about if there are any other cards that would be better than the cards I have in there currently. I could probably use some tutors so help find my combo pieces. I have another question to ask though.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to not become a scary target from the beginning of the game? I've played this deck against my usual play group and with strangers as well. If my commanders don't raise any eyebrows then usually when the first Shadowborn Apostle hits the board it turns into Defcon 1 and I need to be taken care of immediately.

Is there any way to change my play to not become the biggest threat instantly or is this just the nature of the beast? Thank you for any input! It's really appreciated.
