This is a typical Soul Sisters deck, with a bit of a twist..

The goal, of course, is to get to 30 life as soon as possible to trigger Serra Ascendant's abilitly. Martyr of Sands is the twist, and is the fastest way to start reaching that WINCON.  The secondary goal is to PUMP Ajani's Pridemate by induvidual instances of lifegain, using the "Enter the Battlefield" triggers of Soul, Soul Warden, and Auriok Champion .

Turn 1 : Plains, then Martyr of Sands as the preferred first turn play. Soul Warden or Soul's Attendant would be the alternative first turn play.

Turn 2 : Plains. If you played Martyr of Sands on Turn 1 : then pay and gain 3X life as appropriate, up to 18 points of life, if you only had one mana and have 6 white cards in your hand. Now with the remaining mana you can cast Serra Ascendant who is now a 6/6 LIFELINK FLYER. This is the outcome we are hoping for.

Turn 2 alternate play would be to cast Ajani's Pridemate and he will get a +1/+1 Counter as he enters the battlefied thanks to the The Warden or the Attendant's lifegain trigger.

Turn 3 and beyond :  Continue to build your life total by attacking aggressively with your Serra Ascendant or pounding the opposition with Ajani's Pridemate.

Path, Honor of the Pure, Ranger of Eos, and Archangel of Thune are along for the ride to help gain the advantage and extend the game to victory!
