Maybeboard

This deck is a casual deck utilizing the fun of Twisted Image and the Heroic mechanic. Sure, there are better Heroic creatures out there than the ones I chose, but these were chosen for specific reasons.

First things first. Why Twisted Image ? Simple, because it is a card I've been looking at since I first started with the Scars block. This card just had something weird about it. Something fun. But what? Switching the Power and Toughness of an unblocked creature obviously... But that isn't really worth it unless our creatures toughness is more than it's power.

Recently I took a look at War-Wing Siren . I thought, man... with Twisted Image , this card can be my win-con. From there my brewing engine kicked in. How do I make this deck work? Obviously I needed some heroic triggers. Trigger number one, Twisted Image . OH look at that! My original card for triggers, effectively making the Siren a 4/2 for 3. Not bad. What else can I use? Protect !! Look, it adds +2/+4. On turn 4, when I plan to attack, I can effectively attack with a 9/5 flying creature.

What the way Protect can? Hmmm? [[Triton Tactics]!! Not only can I use it to give the Siren a +4/+1 with Twisted Image , It will untap my attacker(s).

How do I make sure I can get the cards I need? Sry and Draw! One of the best Scry creatures also happens to be a heroic creature, allowing me to have another threat, Battlewise Hoplite . He makes the perfect second target for Triton Tactics . Ponder is sorta like scy, right? I mean, I get to see the top three cards of my library, arrange them how I want, or even shuffle to get rid of the three if none are useful. Omenspeaker is a great defender who can also attack. When she comes in I get to scry 2. I can even use Twisted Image to buff her up if she goes unblocked.

That takes care of scry, but what about draw? Well, check this out, Twisted Image and Ponder already allow me to replace them when I use them. But that isn't enough. Another heroic trigger, and threat enabler that draws me 2 cards very quickly is Ordeal of Thassa .

But wait, there's more. There is a planeswalker that can help us in more ways then one. Jace, Architect of Thought fills a need for card draw, either netting us 1 or 2 cards, depending on what we need most. He also lets us use our opponents cards if we get that far. But most importantly, he offers us protection, specifically from aggro decks.

Speaking of protection... I needed to find away to my War-Wing Siren . Gods Willing seems to fit the bill. Not only does it protect my Siren, it can allow a Hoplite or Omenspeaker to get in a free hit and adds to our Scry count. I think I need more protection though. Hey. this Ring of Evos Isle seems pretty cool. It gives a creature it is equipped with Hexproof and makes all of my creatures bigger, since they're all blue.

Hey, check this out... Look at the other side of Protect called Serve . Give target creature -6/-0. Hmm.. Twisted Image will make this card a removal spell.

I have 3 spots left in this deck... Hmm.. I guess I can use Wall of Frost.. I mean, right now it's the best I can think of in this spot. It's great defense. Can be utilized with Twisted Image to remove a huge creature with a little help. Truth be told, this would be the first card to replace when I find something better to suit the deck. I could go with another battle trick, but feel that my creature base is too low if I leave it at 10.

If anyone has any thoughts that can help improve the deck that wont break my bank, please chime in.
