Anthousa is by far the jankiest legendary printed in recent memory because she demands an unusual strategy to function, mono green spell slinger. I knew going in that there were going to be a lot of cards unique to this deck so I took it one further and decided not to use format staples. You won't see a Beast Within, Sylvan Library or Sol Ring anywhere in this list. At time of writing, this deck is $39.39 TCG Mid, which is comparable to a precon. No one will feel like they lost because they were "outspent" rather than outplayed.

Anthousa needs spells to target her to get the land creatures. I decided to go with Instants and Sorceries over Auras for the sake of mana efficiency. I need enough lands to cast the spell that triggers Heroic and still have enough untapped lands to swing with. As a general rule, anything that triggers Heroic for me either draws a card, is reusable, or gives Trample to my 4/5 commander.

This deck was also an excuse to use other weird cards I found. Portcullis is fun because my lands enter as just lands, but turn into creatures later so I don't get burned by it. The really fun card is Verdant Succession . If one of my animated lands die, I can search my library for another card named Forest and put it on the battlefield. I also finally managed to shoehorn Wild Defiance into an EDH deck!
