Tromokratis - Creatureless EDH

Commander / EDH

colinp123

Sideboard

This deck is all about forcing your opponent to either take commander damage or block with all their creatures. This is because of the commander,Tromokratis, who is a hexproof creature who only has hexproof when he's not attacking or blocking. So if you are into dishing out commander damage this is this is the deck for you!

One day I was at one of my favorite venues to play magic at with my friends. One of my buddies at the time was collecting the card Tromokratis, but he only collected promo versions of the card. I asked him that day if I could trade for one and he said I could just have one if I made him a promise. That promise was that I would use Tromokratis, as the commander in my next commander deck I build. So I did just that... he does not like my deck to this day... ha!
Basically, to start, you want your starting hand to look something like: 3-4 lands right away and maybe a few mana rocks; ie: Sol Ring, Thran Dynamo, or perhaps Gilded Lotus. And a few counterspells; ie: Counterspell, Cancel, or maybe Annul.

After you have a sufficient "mana board" including your mana rocks, you can play Tromokratis as soon as possible. This is because he is your only creature. After that you need him to be "bigger" because even though yoo have an 8/8 creature he is your only one so... Equip different artifacts; ie:Swiftfoot Boots, or card:Srata Scythe, Sword of Vengeance, or even card:Loxadon Warhammer. However if you really wanna be "fun" (AKA: "mean"), you can equip my five favorite swords: Sword of Feast and Famine, Sword of Body and Mind, Sword of War and Peace, Sword of Fire and Ice, Sword of Light and Shadow!

Then you can attack and because Tromokratis is now a lot bigger, maybe a 24/24 if you play your cards right (pun intended...), and then your opponents will have 2 choices: block with all creatures or take x amount of commander damage.and if he was a 24/24 then I guess "Good Game".

For those who care, I calculated it out. There is a 0.000000000000744% chance of this hand being drawn for a turn 1 occasion. (Please feel free to check my math. I feel it's incorrect.)
