Description

the idea of this deck is to get trespasser's curse or a creature with a similar effect into play then flicker hunted phantasm to drain my opponent. any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Not quite. Anointed Procession doubles my tokens but i would need it to double my opponents tokens.

If it's about doubling your opponents tokens (which I don't think is necessary, because that card is manawise expensive AF) then Primal Vigor is your best friend.

Nonetheless this deck is hilarious, I've always wondered what kind of combos there are with these enemy-token-generators. Great idea, great deck, +1 from me.

But maybe you could include Street Wraith (instead of Fatal Push), because you already got enough removal and the deck lacks a little bit of card draw. Also your life shouldn't be a problem since you leech from Blood Artist and Suture Priest.

Also consider Authority of the Consuls, because this way you can drop your big creatures while being able to attack with the others (since the opponent's creatures, or at least those you just spawned, are tapped, works great with Mercy Killing as well). Might replace Suture Priest, but I'm not quite sure.

Maybe drop Beast Within for Crib Swap. You may also want to run a few Genesis Chambers.

Primal Vigor is a little to mana costly, I find by turn 5 my opponent is already dead and without any mana ramp I wouldn't be playing it until turn 5 which would be too late to be helpful. Besides Cloudshift and Essence Flux are what really shine at duplicating my tokens.

I definitely like the Street Wraith idea, I was thinking of taking out Hunted Horror since 2 tokens that don't die immediately thanks to Illness in the Ranks or have their first attack negated thanks to the life gain from a few cards wasn't really working out as well as I hoped. I was going to throw in Hunted Troll but I don't really want to add fourth color and the free card draw from Street Wraith would be extremely helpful.

I was originally thinking of adding Authority of the Consuls but I found I never needed to attack with anything other than my Hunted Phantasm which is unblockable anyway. Definitely a good sideboard option for fast agro decks, gives me extra life gain and slows them down a bit. Also I never really thought of how well it goes with Mercy Killing I just had it stuck in my head that all the tokens I give them come into play on my turn anyway but that's not the case with Mercy Killing.

Beast Within is only in the sideboard because I was thinking about adding green I just forgot to remove it. I don't think I would need Crib Swap since I already have Mercy Killing which does basically the same thing but gives them more tokens to be drained by. I love the idea of Genesis Chamber, that will be a great replacement for the Beast Withins in the sideboard for fighting creature heavy decks. Against anything else it is kind of a dead card since it doesn't duplicate the tokens I give them.

What about Collected Company instead of your flicker effects? Because Cloudshift and Essence Flux are only useful with your phantasm and horror. They are dead cards without them, but might ensure a kill once you have them on the bf. On the other hand, CC is a pseudo draw that can get your phantasm and horror quicker on the bf, assuming you didnt drew them still, and can also cheat into play the rest of your lifedrainers, in case you are missing them.

Cloudshift and Essence Flux are also helpful to save my life drainers from removal. I didn't really want to add green to the deck since it is already 3 colors but i might start playing around with taking out white to add some green cards.

I figured it might as well serve that purpose. But I dont think they are worth a saving spell, since they are so cheap and you have so many of them.

Mercy killing can use green already, the forbidden orchards give you any color, and maybe 2x breeding pools will be enough to mana fix.

With green, another interesting option is Hunted Troll. Although it doesnt synergize with CoCo.

Other options that come to mind are:

-Swan Song (with Illness in the Ranks on play, a 1/1 flyer isnt much trouble)

As it is, your deck works really smoothly. I got a lot of T5 kills when playtesting it. So all my suggestions are not aimed at improving it, but rather give you other alternatives or approaches to toy around, just for the fun of it.

Have you seen this deck, A Token on the House? Its pretty similar in that it gives your opponent tokens and punishes them for those tokens.. I'm thinking of making a deck similar to yours and his, I'd just like to make the best of both! :-p

If you can find a place for some Bile Blight, it would take care of the 3/3 tokens as well as not being a too horrible spot removal.

Nice idea, you can take this finisher: Killing Wave. If he doesn't pay life, he lose life by Blood Artist. He'll lose life anyway.

Id recommend 4x Torpor Orb. That way your opponents dont get anything from your Hunted creatures

Normally yes i would play Torpor Orb with the hunted creatures but in this deck the whole purpose is to kill my opponent by giving them creatures.

If you're playing a deck like this, I highly recommend Dowsing Dagger and Panharmonicon. Pan is worth the 4 mana because not only will it double your Hunted Phantasm trigger but the Trespasser's Curse triggers are doubled per creature. Later, you can equip your Phantasm and get a Lost Vale to cast a massive X spell (I like Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate as my go to fireball).

If you're worried about getting overrun, I run Leyline of Singularity as a hedge. The legendary clause will slow you down a bit, but it stops Lingering Souls tokens, multiple D-Shadows, Tarmoturds, etc. You will still gain the benefits of the Curse triggers, but they won't maintain the benefit of imposed "downside" of the hunted creatures before they legend rule themselves.

I've had some fun with the deck; still needs some work though. I hope these suggestions inspire some successful improvements. Best regards.
