3U Sorcery draw 2 cards create a treasure token

Xoorath, in game 1 there would have been only 1 Captain on the board as they are legendary. This may have changed the outcome.

I'd suggest Inspiring Statuary: Tap your treasures for "mana" without sacrificing them

Gets a little cloggy when i tried testing it. Decided on keeping it out

I'm genuinely curious, how has Sphinx of Magosi been? It's the card that stands out to me the most here.

w33m4n says... #8

It fits pretty nicely with the draw ability and I can regularly get him out between turn 4 and 7

To me the Marionette shines best. If you fabricate for counters then sack off a bunch of treasures for anythinng as each token sacs they take 4 damage

w33m4n I have a deck purely focused on killing people with Marionette Master and it's not that different from this list. Mine is more counter spell focused but if you're interested I'll link it.

w33m4n says... #11

Sure why not. And thats why I put some other big options as well to hit.

Rex_JB24 says... #12

Alright here it is, full disclosure your deck is better overall: Instant Death

October 2, 2017 10:49 a.m.

w33m4n says... #13

Yours seems to me more focused on the Marionette Master where mine is a treasure focused control deck that happens to have her in there. Still really like it. We did use almost the same control base

Rex_JB24 says... #14

Yes, the focus of mine is Master. I like build around decks, but IMO yours is the better version because it is attacking the opponent from multiple angles.

there is a card that is a 1/4 for and it creates a treasure token when it enters the battlefeild. i cant remember the name sorry.

Sailor of Means. Too slow for this deck. Early plays are almost all counter, kill, or draw. Only exception is chump blocker guy for energy

October 3, 2017 11:48 a.m.

w33m4n says... #17

Id rather run Contraband Kingpin. Way more useful if not die for energy guy

October 3, 2017 11:51 a.m.

geekoftheages says... #18

Why Glimmer of Genius over Pirate's Prize? You've no use for the energy it produces but plenty of use for the treasure prize makes?

October 4, 2017 12:46 p.m.

w33m4n says... #19

geekoftheages I have been back and forth between the 2. Treasure is nice but I have plenty of production. Scry 2 is very useful in here to make sure I hit my counters. Plus instant speed over sorcery so can run at end of their turn to always have mana open for counters. I'm testing between the 2 right now actually given the new configuration from this morning

geekoftheages its like the same debate to run Contraband Kingpin over Sailor of Means scry vs. treasure

Watching this deck transform over the past few days has been great. It looks like a real FNM killer and I'm excited to hear updates about the deck going forward. I like it a lot more than my current build and I'm going to build this instead. Good on ya w33m4n, please keep us up to date on playtests, FNM, etc.

Rex_JB24 Thanks for the feedback. I've had so many ideas on how to run this is just been crazy figuring out the best value to put together even though the last 3 versions of this deck were totally viable whether it be the big creatures version. the heavy treasure marionette version. I'm still having a big debate in my head on Pirate's Prize vs. Glimmer of Geniusand wether to go with this creature base or the one that uses Herald of Anguish, Noxious Gearhulk, and Sphinx of Magosi. Let me know how you fare with the deck as well if you put it together. I'm gonna be ordering cards probably in the next day or so if I can make a solid decision on which version to go with.

I wonder how Deadeye Plunderers would perform if left unchecked it can become a monster.

October 4, 2017 4:50 p.m.

w33m4n says... #24

Yes it can be very big (original version of deck had him in, was usually like an 8/8 or 9/9)but without evasion of some kind he's just a big blocker. Also paying 4 to get 1 treasure token sucks when there is so much more useful ways to get it. But absolutely if you run evasion he is beast unless someone can deal with the tokens

Lately I have been thinking about Tezzeret's Touch because why not 5/5 Treasure Artifact Creature Token.

Whats the general concensus guys?
