Sarkhan's Temporal Meddling

Dragons of Tarkir has given me the greatest gift I could ever ask for. Thank you, Sarkhan, for screwing up the timeline of Tarkir! Now presenting the true leader of my Superfriends Deck!

Narset Transcendent is one of the most powerful, beautiful, and epic planeswalkers I've seen printed in a long time, and I was beyond excited to see her spoiled. She gives draw power, she lets me take two or four extra turns for the low low cost of -2, and her ultimate says you're never gonna stop me. Needless to say, this is now my favorite planeswalker ever. Sarkhan, I am eternally in your debt :D

Super Friends

As for the other 98 cards, obviously the main theme is the planeswalkers. Each and every one of the 14 I've included have something useful to offer the deck, be it spot removal/burn, Ajani Vengeant , control, Tamiyo, the Moon Sage , draw power, Jace, the Mind Sculptor , or just plain brutality, Karn Liberated , they are each good in their own way. Ajani Steadfast is the super friend of the Superfriends, being able to add loyalty to the others at will. The Chain Veil makes my planeswalkers all the more lethal. Using their abilities twice or more in a single turn just seems good.

Legitimate Deck Stacking

Narset, Enlightened Master , while not absolutely necessary to the survival of the deck, now more than ever is the biggest potential powerhouse. Why? Because of deck stacking. Proteus Staff on Narset when I have no other creatures in the deck allows me to arrange every single card in my deck in any way I like. Scroll Rack can let Narset get out something I'd rather not play directly from my hand, and if all else fails I can make some Long-Term Plans to help get the ball rolling. But regardless, it's nice just to get any free spells off of her attacks.

Walls of Nope

The focus on the pillow fort aspect of the deck has waned a bit in the latest revisions, but it is definitely still a main component. There's the control aspect of the fort with things like Cyclonic Rift , and of course the Counterspell s, and spells for spot removal like Banishing Stroke . Second, there are the enchantments that say you must pay a toll for every creature you want to come at me. Ghostly Prison and Propaganda are the primary walls of Nope, and Dissipation Field does a pretty good job of turning away potential attackers. You shall not pass.

Time Manipulation

A theme of time travel is very heavily ingrained in the deck thanks to the shenanigans of the Tarkir timelines this deck was inspired by. I wanted whatever extra turn cards I could get my hands on, without spending a fortune. Temporal Trespass being printed recently made me happy, and you can't go wrong with the potential of casting a Time Stretch with the help of a Mirari or Narset's rebound ability. There's a few ways to get infinite turns, but Isochron Scepter with a Mystical Tutor and Beacon of Tomorrows is the easiest to accomplish.

Infinite Planeswalkers

Without the benefits of having Nissa, Worldwaker , going infinite with these colors is a lot more effort. The most important cards are The Chain Veil and Contagion Engine . What these two do is obvious. Then you need Teferi, Temporal Archmage for untapping hopefully four permanents that each tap for at least two mana, Tezzeret the Seeker to untap Chain Veil and Contagion Engine, and with this you should go infinite. How you win is entirely up to you. You can burn to death, you can exile everyone's hands and libraries, you can exile all their permanents, or hell, you could even restart the game after exiling every walker in your deck. The possibilities are endless!

I just have to say that Narset, you are absolutely amazing <3

Suggestions

Updates Add

Jace, Unraveler of Secrets -> Teferi, Hero of Dominaria - Better versions of the abilites, just overall more useful

Dissipation Field -> Oath of Teferi - Replacing a spell that was never used for something that greatly benefits the legion of super friends

Faith's Reward -> Teferi's Protection - Faith's Reward is another of those just in case cards that was included in the deck but has never been used once. Instead of removing it completely I'd rather upgrade to a way better version of the spell, however, this slot is still likely to be replaced by something completely different in the future.

Chandra, the Firebrand -> Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Firebrand doesn't really do a whole lot outside of the reverberate effect, which is really good, but otherwise she's kind of a dead weight walker. Torch of Defiance doubles up on the draw ramp with Pyromaster but also can be used for straight up mana, and then her ult is a win-con with my walker combo. Overall, she'd just be way more useful to the deck and I definitely want to pick her up when she rotates out of standard.

Other cards I want to try to work into the deck eventually:

Armageddon, Vandalblast
