Trading For Life

Description

Use Trading Post to gain life and put out chump blockers. Try to win with a flipped Chalice of Life  Flip . Tablet of the Guilds can be pretty awesome with a card like Centaur Healer . Stall with Midnight Haunting and goat tokens. If you get really desperate, Volatile Rig or Terminus can save the day.

Comments and +1's are both greatly appreciated.

is Chalice of Life  Flip your only wincon?

lol@Volatile Rig .

4x Centaur Healer is a must. It's a 3/3 for 3 (good) that gains you 3 (better).

card:Ajani's Sunstriker is okay, but wouldn't you just benefit more from Rhox Faithmender ? That card's a machine.

card:Heroes' Reunion is very average. I'd rather just Selesnya Charm . You get a lot more utility out of it.

You'll find that the less a life-gain deck tries to gain life, the more life it will have. If you just pass the turn with nothing but card:Heroes' Reunion open, it might not even offset the damage you're taking. Life-gain decks should always be built as control first, life-gain second.

I have done lots of testing with a deck where Chalice was the Primary Wincon. When you're up against somebody with no artifact removal, or no way to put you below 30 before you get another Chalice out, it's fantastic, but you do need other ways to win. Thraggio looks good for that, but won't always be able to connect.

Maybe find a Trample guy or a Flying guy. If you wanna go the simpler way just use Rancor . Rancor on a Volatile Rig seems pretty hilarious, actually.

Who said anything about Trample? Giving something +2/+0 for 1 mana that you can get back if it's destroyed is bad?

Well given that SGB517 said "maybe find a trample guy or a flying guy. If you wanna go the simpler way (to find these trample or flying guys) just use Rancor ." I know rancor is good. I'm just pointing out to SGB517 that Volatile Rig already has trample so you wouldn't need to enchant the rig with rancor. Oh, and I never said it was bad. Don't assume or make up Ideas. People tend not to like it. Just a heads up

Don't be so melodramatic. Maybe you should elaborate more in your first post so you don't have to come back and pretend I'm the bad guy.

Trading Post , but I also think Volatile Rig should come out. It's simply not a competitive card and it does nothing for you in a life-gain deck.

4x Centaur Healer seems like a no-brainer. A 3/3 blocker/beatstick that gains you 3 is really good in any deck.
