mtg, mtg cards, magic the gathering, gaming, geeks
Hey guys, well here's one I made from some spare exalted cards I had laying around, and so far it's play tested pretty well. Obviously the main card in this deck is Tourmented Soul. Basically victory conditions are a few exalts and Tourmented and your good to go. I threw in some destruction to help until you get them out. Nighthawk gets pretty nasty with the help of his exalted friends, and Sublime is way too awesome... wish I had more of her..
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
The Duty-Bound Dead s are generally terrible. Sure, they're a 1-drop with exalted, but it's really, really bad other than that. Something like an Adaptive Automaton would give a similar effect, but it's better almost exclusively. I'm with sam - I'd focus more on the Tormented Soul s than the Nighthawks - while the hawks are better as a creature overall, the Souls will probably win more games. This deck curves out fast, so I'd highly suggest another way to draw cards other than just Sign in Blood .
im back since a few days missed the release of m13 but the entire thing of the extalted part seems its very vunerable to board wipes(dont know if it is but) anyway of such maybe some card:Faith's Reward atleast its a conciderable sb option. or maybe card:Faith's Shield
card:Faith's Reward is a wonderful side board to prevent wiping of the field, and I would remove Aven Squire , Duty-Bound Dead , and two Vampire Nighthawk and in their place I would put two more Tormented Soul for a total of four, four Knight of Glory , two Mark of the Vampire , and two Sublime Archangel for a total of three.
But very good job on just making this out of spare cards that you had, I don't know if you are going to try to improve on this deck or anything but I would gladly like to see if you make any improvements.
Your deck is really nice, if you want draw maybe Jar of Eyeballs or Jayemdae Tome and for more exalted there is Angelic Benediction plus you'll be able to tap a creature. Is there any other unblockable black or white creatures? Cause tormented soul could win some games
Jar of Eyeballs is a cool card I had forgotten about, too bad you only get one card out of a six mana investment.
This deck looks good. I like this black exalted business. One thing, it seems like you could probably get faster starts by subbing Guardians of Akrasa out and a couple knights in.
hmmm i never played a deck like this before :P Looking at your sideboard... Wouldnt it be good to at least put in 2 Oblivion Ring s in your deck and replace them with 2 Doomblades?
I would remove the Rings and put in card:Inquisitor's Flail (double damage, exalted bonus, plus unblockable...it's a nice little set up)
If you're looking to add Silverblade Paladin I would take Guardians of Akrasa out. Aggressive decks don't want creatures with defender, I would think a WB exalted control deck could use them with Nefarox.

First New benalia is not legal in standard right now so that can't be in the deck. I think if you added a bit more removal, just adding 2 more doom blades (or Go for the Throat ) but overall this deck seems decent and I think you will end up winning more games with tormented soul. I guess exalted with any creature will win games.
