Maybeboard

A deck based around rushing out Torgaar, Famine Incarnate and Demon of Catastrophes . We use any of our dummies (Goblin tokens, 1/1s that gain value when they enter, etc.) to sacrifice to those two creatures or to the 6/6 demon created by Rite of Belzenlok and dominate almost every board. When things get clogged up we can Thud using one of our fatties and close out the game.

EDITS:

11/13/2018 - I've made a few changes to the mainboard and sideboard as a result of the meta shift that has been happening since I started messing with the deck list. I have split down the middle the amount of Lightning Strike and Lava Coil . With the amount of 4 toughness creatures running around at the moment we need a way to answer those creatures and make sure they don't come back. I have also added another Golden Demise and The Eldest Reborn to the sideboard as a way to wipe boards clogged up with 1 toughness white weenie creatures, red creatures, etc. and Eldest Reborn to get us back any annoying threats of our own or our opponents to keep our pressure high while disrupting the board and the hand. I am also trying out a copy of Star of Extinction in the sideboard to mainly combat Carnage Tyrant and other huge creatures that tend to be hard to deal with.

12/6/18 - Have recently been testing the deck with Doom Whisperer in place of Rekindling Phoenix and I have really been liking the change so far. DW seems better right now because of the value we can gain in card selection with instant speed removal spells on the stack.

12/21/18 - Went 3-1 at FNM, only losing in the finals to some bad draws against an insanely aggressive Boris deck. Sentinel Totem is an insanely important new sideboard addition to exile away Arclight Phoenix and other annoying graveyard shenanigans at instant speed, while also giving us some card selection off the scry.

5/10/19 - I have still been working on the deck since War of the Spark's release and we got a great amount of tools to work with. I have removed Thud altogether from the deck because it seemed to be a dead card in most situations except the few magic times it's in your hand at the right time. With the printing of Mayhem Devil and Dreadhorde Butcher we have gone into a hard sacrifice matters deck which is bolstered by the printing of Angrath's Rampage . We still get a 2-of of our boy Torgaar, Famine Incarnate because it wouldn't feel right going to the party without him.

Overall with War of the Spark the changes were: -2 Lightning Strike -2 Lava Coil -4 Dusk Legion Zealot -2 Torgaar, Famine Incarnate -2 Thud -1 Plaguecrafter +4 Dreadhorde Butcher +4 Mayhem Devil +4 Angrath's Rampage +1 Demon of Catastrophes

5/18/19 - After FNM this week I have decided to move out the last 2 copies of Torgaar, Famine Incarnate for Fireblade Artist . As sad as it makes me, without Thud we don't really need him anymore as he doesn't keep our plan of aggression going. While we miss the lifegain just a bit we shouldn't even need it if we go off as quickly as our deck is able to.
