Upon seeing the spoiler for Asylum Visitor, I wanted to create a deck that benefits from having no hand, for budget very casual play with friends.
Since it's in the very early stages of development, the maybeboard is huge and still growing, but I think I have most of the general ideas down.
The ideal play would be through a combination of Asylum Visitor and Zombie Infestation, enable madness effects on cards while getting fodder for both offense and defense and ultimately gaining draw power from having an empty hand. I can't get out Avaricious Dragon any earlier than turn 3, but ideally from there I can draw 3 on turn 4, use madness, draw at least 3 on turn 5 and play Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker and keep punching for flying damage while using creature removal or life gain as necessary.
The 3 weakest points I can see right now are:
1) Asylum Visitor having only 1 toughness makes it very easy to get rid of.
2) While Sarkhan's ult is exactly what I want for this deck, the probability of having to discard him before I can pay his mana cost makes me nervous.
3) As becomes clear above, my endgame is fairly limited to punch my opponent until they run out of life. This is where Anthem of Rakdos could potentially come in.
Cards I'm unsure about are anything without a madness ability or a way to get it out of the graveyard once discarded.
The balance between enabling and using madness will need to be tweaked, but that may not come until it actually sees play. As a whole it wound up being fairly more burn than I originally thought, but that may be exactly what I need in a deck designed the quickly get cards and then immediately get ride of them.
