Sadly, they get a few of their lands back- its not them grabbing lands from the graveyard, its one of my effects so Tomik doesn't block them. Thanks for the suggestion though! If it wasn't for the recovery for everybody I'd totally run it.

To be fair, Fall of the Thran is worded a bit oddly imo. It tells each player to "return" two lands from their graveyard to the battlefield, which implies that said land would have been on the battlefield in the first place yet I don't believe that's an actual limitation here. I think it either should have stated "Each player may play up to two land cards from their graveyard" or "Each player may place up to two land cards from their graveyard to the battlefield". That way, if it were the first case you could get away with it since Tomik doesn't let your opponents play lands from their graveyard, but the latter case clearly states those lands aren't being "played" but rather "placed" and thus letting you know Tomik's ability won't prevent them from kicking in.

I also think it's odd that Fall definitively states exactly "two land cards" must be "returned" rather than "may... up to two land cards", since due to graveyard hate effects like Bojuka Bog and such could wipe out someone's graveyard so that they may not even have two lands when Fall's second and third effects kick in. But that's just me nitpicking the semantics a bit. I'd assume that the actual intended working of the effect would approximate more to the "may place up to two land cards" side of things, but as I am not a judge I don't think I'm fully qualified to say that with absolute certainty. In any case I think you are correct that Tomik doesn't stop others from getting their lands back that way.

I believe it's because the effect of that part of the saga isn't a choice. The Saga will get only one land if they somehow had only one in the graveyard or none if they somehow had none, but "may" generally implies a choice. They don't get the choice to do none, one, or two. At least, from the way I'm reading the rulings. .

I may have missed a point. Blame typing when tired.

Oh no you're good lol. But you're right, maybe a better way they could have phrased it could have been "Each player places two land cards from their graveyard to the battlefield, or if a player has fewer than two land cards in their graveyard, that player places a land card from their graveyard to the battlefield, if any." Yes it's a fair amount of text to make thing specific, but there's also plenty enough room on that space to fit it. But again, it's just more me being nitpicky about the card lol.
