this is a Land denial based pox splashing white for vindicate and mana tithe.

Before i talk about why i'm splashing white and tithe,i gota let you know that this is a budget version of the deck and i will be upgrading the necrogen mists too lotv once i find the spare $400 too do so. With that out of the way, other then a few personal choices the decks overall playstyle remains your typical mana denial pox so i won't be explaining what pox is or the stock cards in the deck as you can probably find much better explanations on one of the dozens of pox primers online.

Ok,too start things off i'd like too talk about my choice in discard, mainly the four copies of funeral charm. The normal choice for these four slots would be inquisition or thoughtseize as those options are far more powerfull in terms of discard. But the reason i like and prefer funeral charm is what it lacks in power it makes up in versatility. It makes your opponent discard,at instant speed, they get too choose, which is why this card is far weaker then the others, but because it's instant you can make them discard at their draw step. Doesn't seem like a big plus, but since this deck loves too get into topdeck wars being able too late game invalid a opponents draw is amazing.

also take into consideration that late game with a mist/lili out your opponent is gonna play whatever they draw on the spot and this makes top decking a inq or thoughtseize pretty terrible. On top of that it's +2-1 ability acts as turn 1 removal 4-8,stopping lacky, delver, and others 1 health problems without taking any more removal spots. it also has a duel purpose of buffing our factory's too a 4/1 if we need too. it's third option is swampwalking which can be helpfull cause the deck runs 4 urborgs which turn all lands too swamps,so if i need too i can use the charm as way too get in some last points of damage. Not a very powerful discard spell, but a very powerful spell in this deck and it's why i run it over other options.

Now the main difference in this deck is the splashing color and the cards it gives us access too. I choose too splash white because i think it not only enhances our land disruption with vindicate but also through vindicate gives us maindeck answers too problem cards like planes walkers that get through, crucible of worlds and many others, all without taking up another deck slot. so the deck stays focused but also flexible.

the other big reason i splash white, mana tithe. Mana tithe has too be one of my favorite cards in magic,So i'm super biased here. Mana tithe is an alright card, with it's big potential being how it catches people off guard, but after you do it once your opponent will just play around it and make it a dead card, and that's the main reason why it sees no play. But in our deck,a deck with 12-15 land destruction effects, they have no choice but too tap out,any card they play is probably using up all their mana. So effectively this is a 1 mana white counterspell in our deck. that an i'm a sico who loves too see the faces of my opponents go from mildly bored and frustrated too complete anger that i countered the spell they finally thought they were gonna cast after 6 turns of getting the land they needed. fun stuff.

well, that's my BW pox deck.Feel free too share your opinion on it.Thanks

*edit

swapped 2 funeral charm for 2 cabal therapy. i still stand with what i said about the charms, but i think doing a split like this makes the deck more synergistic and gives a better chance at combo then the 4 charms would have been.

Also swapped 1 mana tithe out for 1 lingering souls. lingering souls gives me another card that plays nice with the decks discard effects, and can be used to flashback cabal therapy.not to mention that it can be a solid beater if the game gets locked up.
