I had this idea the moment I first saw Persistent Petitioners . Dimir mill is a classic (yet tiresome) theme. I will always hold a place in my heart for mill decks, and the moment I saw these Petitioners, I knew that the gates to variety mill had been opened. Thus sprung forth my latest brainchild, Tishana's Petition. I promise you will not regret reading about this deck, and hope you'll give it an upvote if you do.

The biggest gameplan here is to get as many Petitioners out as possible, comparable to any Shadowborn Apostle deck (on Adderall). Obvious includes like Thrumming Stone are classic for yanking out Petitioners no problem. Niche cards like Wood Sage or Tamiyo, Collector of Tales and Doubling Chant are ones not often seen in commander (I wonder why?), but shine bright in this deck, and are ones I've certainly never seen in Apostles decks. I've gathered here all of the best "same name" effects applicable to our main strategy. Employing such effects amass many Petitioners as soon as possible. So, now that we have our Petitioners out, what's next?
Untap effects. Good grief, I love Simic. Untapping in Simic is like board wipes in Boros. There's a lot. Regular untap effects provided by Murkfiend Liege , Seedborn Muse , and Quest for Renewal ensure a very fast mill-out of our opponents. Thrumming Stone and Intruder Alarm go nuts when the two grace the board together. Instantaneous untaps from Dramatic Reversal , Benefactor's Draught , and Vitalize allow for several activations per turn, and go infinite with Paradox Engine. Go full sicko mode and dump your opponents' decks into their graveyard at lightning speed. Speed is one thing this deck has, and what speed needs is card draw.
Once again, Simic delivers in the category of card draw. Mass draw effects in the spirit of our expertly-chosen commander Tishana, Voice of Thunder make multiplying our Petitioners a breeze. Mass Appeal is a natural-born include for this list at 3 mana, with Persistent Petitioners being humans. There are simply too many mass draw effects to count and include them all in one list while keeping a high number of Petitioners. So, in favour of some of these effects, I've opted for draw engines. These include Beast Whisperer and Soul of the Harvest , which turn our persistent boys into cantrips. Drawing big and dropping plenty is surely the way to go. With all these stratagem in mind, now we turn our attention to how to run this deck in-game.
First I must say, this deck is not very competetive. It's easily broken by Eldrazi Titans. However to make the biggest impact you can, the smartest gameplan in this deck is the one that always gives the biggest feels-bad: Singling out opponents. This deck can mill FAST, and I mean it. Focusing your attention on one player at a time minimizes the results of team efforts against you, and accelerates your impact before the inevitable board wipe. Your next question should then be "okay Loki, then what if someone has a titan in their deck?". Well that's where Scavenging Ooze comes very much in handy. One of the best cards for cleaning up after going off is a well-timed activation of Temple Bell . Often you can mill out 1-2 opponents in a single turn, and sometimes even just having an untap and upkeep gives enough time for them damage you severely.

I hope this deck fills you with excitement, ideas, and giddiness as much as it has for me. Thank you for taking the time to read, and give this a +1 if you want more eyes to fall upon it.

Feel free to make suggestions! This deck is focused and fun, and any help optimizing it is welcome :)
