With Christmas approaching, I thought I would build another Group Hug deck; however this time, I have no win conditions. That's right: I have no way of winning. All things are boons; nothing is meant as a bane.

Field of Ruin is group hug because everyone gets a land. Nope; somebody had to lose one.

Swan Song and Arcane Denial are group hug because the opponents get something in return. Nope; they had their heart broken after their spells were countered.

Happily Ever After ? No, my opponents end up losing if I win.

What about Phelddagrif ?! That's your favourite Group Hug Commander! Not for this deck; its ability is not symmetrical -same reason I'm not running Forbidden Orchard or Intellectual Offering .

Moreover, I am not running pillow fort cards like Ghostly Prison ; if my opponents want to attack me, then that's their prerogative; I will not hinder my opponents in any way. Likewise, I am not running helpful cards that have a mode to hurt my opponents; that means Pir's Whim , Folio of Fancies , and Fractured Identity are out; do no harm!

This deck is 100% Hugs!

I ended up swapping out Braids, Conjurer Adept and Gate to the AEther for Centaur Peacemaker and Day's Undoing because the former two are too powerful, and they lead to an unbalanced gameplay.
