Land destruction hasn't been an issue for the groups I've played in. Normally I'm able to cheat things in or get mana rocks out before land destruction is able to become an problem.

@Agent_Fire: Isn't Scorched Ruins too risky? → Wasteland, Stripmine, Tectonic Edge, Ghostly Quarter, etc..
