Pssssttt...

Hey kid, wanna piss of your friends by not allowing them to play magic?

I bring you Time Prison. A competitive Dice Factory infinite turns variant.

This is a first iteration infinite turn Magistrate's Scepter combo deck with with Darksteel Reactor or Necrogen Censer wincon.

Emphasis is placed on getting infinite turns with Magistrate's Scepter ASAP by being able to gain 3x charge counters onto it per turn and then tapping it for an extra turn.. Effectively locking your opponent entirely out of the game.

Sideboard/mana pool is currently incomplete/up for change

Read the text panels below for additional explanation:

3x Karn's Bastion

3x Thrummingbird (sideboard)

This list has more Proliferate cards than most Dice lists you'll see. This is to ensure that there are more possible routes to fuel both our Magistrate's Scepter infinite turn lock.. as well as fuel our wincons -- Darksteel Reactor or Necrogen Censer .

Proliferate can also fuel Astral Cornucopia , Astral Cornucopia , Blast Zone , Everflowing Chalice , Karn, the Great Creator and Surge Node .

4x Coretapper

2x Energy Chamber

4x Surge Node

These helpers purely exist to run the machine. By run the machine I mean fuel the Scepter infinite combo (Surge Node requiring refueling) as well as the wincons.

Karn, the Great Creator is there to find extra combo pieces/wincons in your sideboard and can fetch Mycosynth Lattice to use with his "Activated abilities of artifacts your opponents control can't be activated." which will essentially lock your opponent from using lands or tapped abilities.

You can also use Karn's +1 ability to turn opponent's (mycosynth'd) lands into artifacts and destroy them by turning them into 0/0 creatures.

Emry, Lurker of the Loch is an absolute beast in this deck. It can support our infinite turns combo by you tapping and then sac'ing a Coretapper (for 3 charge counters on scepter) and then tapping Emry, Lurker of the Loch to return coretapper on the same turn (before you go to your extra turn).. And when you extry turn arrives, you can repeat the process for infinite turns.

Emry works great in this deck because you'll almost ALWAYS get to cast him for a single blue mana (due to all of the artifacts) and his 4 cards off the deck-to-graveyard works in our favor to dig for combo pieces and then recover them next turn.

Other cards you can sync well with Emry, Lurker of the Loch are:

Mishra's Bauble -- for free extra draws until you assemble your core combos

Mox Opal to replace an already tapped for mana mox opal with an untapped one for a free mana (due to legendary rule, the old one is replaced)

1x Engineered Explosives (MMA) (sideboard) for an EE every turn.

Darksteel Citadel just incase you end up with on in your graveyard with Emry's ability

Recursion of core combo pieces due to removal like Magistrate's Scepter , Darksteel Reactor , Ensnaring Bridge , Surge Node , etc.
