Big TT'ed Combo! (Turn 3 win) Thrasios Tymna [EDH]

Commander / EDH Combo Competitive GWUB Infinite Combo

TPC

This is a competitive, interactive Thrasios/Tymna deck that utilizes the infinite mana strategies of competetive EDH. It typically wins on turns 4-6, but the opening Godhand does it on 3.

The principle strategy is to get as many as 5 lands and 2-3 mana rocks onto the battlefield by turn 3, generating between 8-10 mana. An optimal hand allows you generate infinite mana by turn 4. There are many paths to take from that point, all involve Thrasios, Triton Hero as a mana dump, allowing you to get to one of your win cons.

ASSEMBLING THE COMBO

There are all of the relevant tutors needed to piece together the Infinite Mana needed to pull off an early win. These include Demonic Tutor , Vampiric Tutor , Enlightened Tutor , Idyllic Tutor , Planar Bridge , and Fabricate .

However, there's another way to fish up your combo pieces, that can also act as your win con. Bolas's Citidel plus Sensei's Divining Top to cycle and cast off the top of your deck until you've assembled your combo with your win con. The Top allows you to move past lands or high cost cards that would eat too much of your life to cast, or to get a tutor or counter spell into your hand. Combine with Aetherflux Reservoir to keep your life total up while cycling, or simply recast the Top using Bolas's Citidel over and over from the top of your library, gaining an exponential amount of life, allowing you to simply laser beam your opponents to death.

INFINITE MANA COMBOS

Basalt Monolith or Grim Monolith plus Power Artifact or Mana Reflection .

Food Chain plus Misthollow Griffin or Eternal Scourge

FINISHERS

Ima Fireing Mah Lazar: Food Chain plus Misthollow Griffin or Eternal Scourge plus Aetherflux Reservoir or Walking Ballista . With Aetherflux on the board, each time you recast either creature, you're getting an exponential life gain trigger off it, then just laser beam your opponents to death. Infinite creature-mana plus the ballista grants infinite damage.

Bolas's Citadel plus Sensei's Divining Top plus Aetherflux Reservoir . Recast the top from the top of your library over and over for 1 life each cast, but with the Aetherflux out, you gain an exponential amount of life as you recast the top. This allows you to not only dig for needed cards, but it will net you more than enough life to use the Aetherflux to simply kill your opponents once you get this combo going.

Torment of Hailfire or Bloodrite Invoker plus Infinite Mana.

Draw Out Your Opponents: Ambassador Laquatus plus infinite mana.

BOARD DISRUPTION

Sometimes your deck doesn't launch, or your opponents have started to metagame against you, and so it becomes necessary to lock down the board and play the slow and grindy game. In these cases, its optimal to lay down a Planar Bridge , using your first activation to play Dovescape . This prevents all future noncreature spells from disrupting your own board state. Use your second activation to lay down a Seedborn Muse , granting you an additional Bridge activation during each opponent's turn. Use the bridge to lay down an Overwhelming Splendor , locking the opponent with the greatest set of creature threats out of the game. Lay down Copy Enchantment and Clever Impersonator to copy it, locking out the rest of your opponents. From there, assemble your infinite mana combo, and go for a win con like Bloodrite Invoker .
