if i Tragic Slip your Wild Beastmaster and it gets -13/-13, it'll give all your creatures -13/-13 :P food for though

Cathedral of War doesn't fit in the deck all that well... The whole point of Champion of Lambholt is that you make ALL your creatures unblock able and you swing with every creature you have! Even buffing out Wild Beastmaster with your +1/+1 counters buffs out your champion and every other creature!

Royberto:

I agree that it doesn't seem to fit very well, but if I build a monocolor deack I NEVER only put in mono color land. I want to have a few lands that provide some kind of benefit. My other options are Haunted Fengraf or Cavern of Souls .

JokerWx13:

You would need the morbid effect to Tragic Slip my entire army, which might be tough to get before my attack step, BUT I hadn't thought of it before, good thought!

I second that. Cavern of Souls is pricey, but its a great land. Ghost Quarter is great to blow up enemy lands like Cavern of Souls and any shock lands or other ones they constantly use like Gavony Township

Wild Defiance in response to that Tragic Slip comment would be good to counteract those kinds of spells. Even if you target your own creature with a spell it'll buff them! Giant Growth would give a creature +6/+6 for 1 mana!

My problem with Wild Defiance is the same problem I have with Predator Ooze I already have 7 three cost spells in the deck. I'm trying to avoid having too many spell of the same cost.

But Wild Defiance does look like a lot of fun in this deck!

I was just deciding that card:Death's Presence is too expensive. After play testing a bit I usually end up winning around turn 5-7.

I added a few Ambush Viper s to deal with those players who swing at my while all my blockers are tapped >:D

Besides I needed more 2 cost cards in the deck, and Revenge of the Hunted on an Ambush Viper sounded HELLA funny!

JokerWx13 says... #11

if they all block, do all of them get killed? or is that only with trample?

February 13, 2013 9:25 p.m.

Zacoly says... #12

If I have an 8/7 death touch (Ambush Viper + Revenge of the Hunted ) - I can choose to apply one damage to each creature.

Death touch's effect reads

"Any nonzero amount of combat damage assigned to a creature by a source with deathtouch is considered to be lethal damage, regardless of that creatures toughness. "

So if I apply 1 damage to 8 different creatures they will all take lethal damage! :D

On the note of Ambush Viper . Wasteland Viper is good to use too. If you top deck RotH and you bloodrush Wasteland Viper , thats +7/+8 death touch and trample!

TBH, I didn't know about Wasteland Viper , that's a powerful 1 cost card!

Thanks man!

Sheltering Word is a good response to any removal spells. especially Wild Beast-Master.

Primordial Hydra mixed with Bioshift sounds fun for this deck as well.

Or card:Ranger's Guile for a one drop.

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

I'll put some Sheltering Word in the sideboard/maybe board.

Sadly Primordial Hydra < Wolfir Silverheart in an aggro deck, even though I like that card too.

JokerWx13 That wouldn't give everything -13/-13 because the modifier calculates only once before you respond. If you were to hit it with a kill spell -BEFORE- the battle phase was entered then I wouldn't have all the super power creatures, but in the way I'm thinking you suggested it (I declare attackers and you Tragic Slip Wild Beastmaster ) there would still be 13 13/13 fungal tokens attacking you.

I don't think Cathedral of War fits well in this deck... You aren't a exalted deck, this is green aggro. Ghost Quarter could be in here to slow down your opponents.

February 19, 2013 11:20 a.m.

JokerWx13 says... #23

exalted goes against EVERYTHING this deck is trying to do, which is boost and swarm

Royberto says... #24

Ghost Quarter or Cavern of Souls would be better, or even just more forests.

Zacoly says... #25

Ahhhh the "blissful" words of those who haven't playtested with Cathedral of War . The countless times that I have swung unblockable Champion of Lambholt by themselves only because of my lands, the countless times I'm swung 3/2 or 4/3 Strangleroot Geist on turn 3.

I will not use Ghost Quarter . The only thing this land does is destroy one of my lands and untap one of theirs. (And trade a multicolored land for a basic OF THEIR CHOICE). There are only 2 deck types that should be using this land, "Mill" or "land destruction".

I would use Cavern of Souls ... but if I put in 4 of them the cost of this deck would DOUBLE. That, and I think I only actually own one.
