It's Back! —Aug. 4, 2018

The Jund version of this deck is back! See the new and improved deck description for details.

Plus 1 for your name as well as deck name. Not often to see monty python and the simpsons referenced at the same time. Have you experimented with different walkers at all? Nissa, Vital Force Liliana of the Dark Realms and Koth of the Hammer all seem pretty good in here.

Thanks Hyperalgialysis! I couldn't resist a Monty Python joke for this "lands" deck.

I have tried using some walkers like Xenagos, the Reveler in the past, but I have never been that impressed by walkers in multi-player commander. I find that most walkers just die right away. Nissa, Sage Animist  Flip I keep because of how well she plays into the deck's theme and the card advantage she provides. That being said, Nissa, Vital Force might be worth a try. I don't run enough swamps or mountains to make Koth or Liliana worthwhile, but if I eventually include Prismatic Omen they might worth revisiting.

I feel like you're sacrificing enough to use either Meren of Clan Nel Toth or Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest. Especially if you also use Ambush Commander or something similar.

Thanks for the suggestions dbpunk. I originally had Meren of Clan Nel Toth in here but she is surprisingly difficult to find so I gave up haha. Adun Oakenshield actually plays a very good impersonation of her, though not quite as good.

Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest doesn't really fit the what the deck is trying to do though. Yes I plan to be sac'ing numerous creatures, but in most cases when I start sac'ing creatures it is to combo out or in response to a board wipe so his ability doesn't really do much in this deck.

Ambush Commander is an interesting idea, though I would probably use something like Rude Awakening in stead. I have found at times that I have a TON of lands with not too much action in my hand, so a card like that might be helpful. I'll see how it plays in the deck.

Natural Affinity or something that hits your opponents lands might be a good option, because then you could cycle Decree of Pain or do something similar, and destroy all your opponents lands.

I'm surprised you don't have Crucible of Worlds in here. Having it as a backup in case you lose Ramunap Excavator wouldn't be a bad idea.

CrazedPorcupine: Crucible of Worlds is absent mainly because $20 is the absolute maximum I am willing to spend on individual magic cards. All of the cards over that price I have acquired via trading, drafts, or buying beat up versions of the card. However, if I manage to get one it's going straight in the deck!
