Hardened Scales + Rage Forger makes me a very happy camper. Use Flamekin Harbinger to dig up the Rage Forger and go to town. The creatures in the deck all either create +1/+1 counters on their own, or they're Shamans benefiting from Rage Forger's ability to slap down heaps of +1/+1 counters on them while they do their silly things. Follow up on dropping a Rage Forger with an Avatar of the Resolute for giant piles of counters.

The mana base can be an issue sometimes, but it's usually only a problem for hardcasting Avatar of the Resolute. Burning-Tree Emissary solves this problem to some extent.

There's not an awful lot of tutoring in the deck, but odds are decent you'll find either a Flamekin Harbinger or a Rage Forger to get things in gear. Besides that, there's always Collected Company and Elvish Visionary to speed things up.
