Maybeboard

Creature (1)

The plan here is kind of obvious; Make tokens, play your commander, play something targeting only your commander. More than likely, I have waaaaaay too much token generation/support, and will invariably lose to any card akin to Leyline of Singularity, Illness in the Ranks or board locks.

As the deck is, it feels somewhat consistent, and the people I have to play with are most certainly not interested in winning the game as much as fooling around so there is some room for silly stuff/inefficiency. The token theme feels a little frail, sometimes. Another decklist with a different gameplan sounds like a challenge which could be fun.

For the most part, the spells included for Ink-Treader are low-cost effects which can benefit every creature on my side of the field on the turn they're cast, though they might also help my opponents (Anything that says "Target" rather than "Target creature you control" will apply its effect to every possible permanent, and so my opponents get buffed dudes off of Might of the Nephilim, etc). The plan was to get spells that can be very silly, such as a rain of life with Swords to Plowshares, absolute destruction of the boardstate ala Chaos Warp, and of course silly shenanigans with tokens like Cackling Counterpart + Doubling Season / Parallel Lives, but also to be able to actually win games at some point. My friend brings over both Phelddagrif and Zedruu which he knowingly built lacking a win condition; games go on for 3 hours and become somewhat tedious. Normally everyone draws through their deck at least once, from normal draws. That's something that needs to end and this deck should help.

The fastest kill I can think of with this deck is like so:

T1: Fetch Temple Garden into Sol Ring

T2: Heartbeat of Spring, Fetch Stomping Ground, Farseek into Steam Vents

T3: Fetch Hallowed Fountain, Ink-Treader Nephilim, Parallel Lives

T4: Fetch anything, Miracle Entreat the Angels for X=7 nabbing 14 tokens, Crimson Wisps and Become Immense at G, Distortion Strike as well. (All the instants targeting Ink-Treader Nephilim of course)

This nigh-impossible chain of events deals a whopping 164 unblockable damage on turn 4. Exciting!

As always, suggestions are welcome and appreciated. I'd love to know if you think it's too competitive, too weak, or too anything else.
