First real game tonight! —Oct. 4, 2016

So tonight will be my first real "FNM" at a local shop(with this deck), I am going to have a notepad and some paper so I will try to jot down notes as I go so I can pass them to you guys. If any one else has played at a local shop with this deck let us all know. Tell us what decks you ran into that gave you some serious trouble. I would like to change up the sideboard and or mainboard a little more to meet the demand of all these new decks coming out. Good luck out there alchemists!

Just recently got into MTG and I love this deck! Can't wait to see the full potential when my Kaladesh cards arrive! Would you consider using Aether Hub for land?

Not sure how the OP feels about Aether Hub, but it seems like a waste. You only get the 1 energy and it will just use energy if you don't get a Mountain. Your energy producer is Dynavolt Tower, no need for gimmicky plays to get more.

Trendy. Nosoup4ne1 Yeah that is exactly why its not in there, It had no real use and seemed to get me away from what I truly needed which was mountains, Geier Reach Sanitarium which there is only 2 of, is a late game for when I need to have more discard outlets. Aether Hub just wasn't worth it.

I like this, +1. How are you not playing Aether Hub for the extra energy generation though?

Aether Hub I think would be used simply because upon entering it gives you an energy counter for free. And its a nonbasic land that can provide 1 colorless mana. Not sure if that would outbalance the need specifically for Mountains though.

So for everyone asking I needed consistently Mountains more than I need anything else, and in the grand scheme of things, energy is only a small portion of the deck and filling 4 spots that could be mountains didnt really work when I play tested it because I need to be evening the board state with kill spells.

This deck seems to have a lot of answers in dealing with planeswalker control decks, love wrath, and devour in flames. However, at FNM i have been playing a red blue thermal deck (im thinking of scrapping blue and fevered visions entirely) for this deck. It just seems so much more aggressive, what are your trips if I come up against planeswalker control.

I'm remember having thing in the ice and thermo, but they just kept getting removed and my plan would fall apart. Would you say this deck is a lot less reliant on thermo and the renegade?

MacTheMasta so in a planeswalker control deck I think that I would get rid of more of the target creature spells (if they are doing Superfriends control) and side in 3 x Devour in Flames don't forget anything that can target a player can target a planes walker. They are "extensions" of a player and therefore can be targeted with player spells so I would side out Galvanic Bombardment personally.

With all the madness spells, I'm surprised you don't main deck Shreds of Sanity... I just finished putting together a similar deck, and I also side board Harness the Storm.

I love the build though. Very effective. I main deck Chandra, but I haven't gotten all 4x of her yet to playtest it effectively. I think with just her Mana adding alone, she's worth putting in the deck, so with her other abilities she's a must have.

Thanks for the tip, whatever he was playing was at least a 600$ plus deck so it would be hard to tackle either way I figure. I mean they're the best cards in the game for a reason. How has this deck gone for you so far in testing?

Also, do you think Bedlam Reveler could have a place in the side board?

My deck has done fairly well, but I only have 2/4 Chandra's right now. I wont get to playtest it too much until next MNF, but I think it'll be much more effective with the other 2x Chandra's...

I'm afraid of Bedlam Reveler, as if you draw it while you still have effective cards in your hand, or get it in your starting hand, you're kind of forced to hang onto it. It's too expensive early game, and you don't want to lose you're entire hand in Burn, unless you're down to like 1 or 2 useless cards.

I just think it's far too situational with a burn deck like this, but I could be wrong. I've never tried it, so it is purely opinion right now from me.

I'm running 3 Chandra, Torch of Defiance and 2 Combustible Gearhulk in a modified version of your deck. I also run 4 Dynavolt Tower because it is a must have early in the game and multiple copies on the board are insanely good. Thanks for posting this deck, I think it is incredible! +1 from me :)

That's another card I was thinking of instead of avacyn's judgement, is combustible gear hulk and of course chandra somewhere..lol. Let me know how these play out for you.
