Exactly Grotski. Should be spamming the board with Golem fliers which should ruin my largely green meta.I can't wait to see decklists for Return to Ravnica so i can start figuring them in. That is a pretty nasty card in Azorius Justiciar . Does it remove counters when it detains, or is it effectively a pause-game?
It pauses them out for a round which is handy in both stalling/pushing past.Forgot to ask : How do you find card:Conjurer's Closet works in the deck? It looks a tad slow (and is the only card you have in the 5 slot atm) I'd change these out for another utility creature like AEther Adept or Pierce Strider (from your sideboard) or something else, like Stonehorn Dignitary or something from the new set.Alternatively you could throw in a couple of 1-of bomb-y creatures that do things on arrival to the battlefield like Phyrexian Ingester (which also eats those pesky oozes)
Yes, it's a bit slow. With Archaeomancer returning Cloudshift and Ghostly Flicker it's really for use in emergancies. It also allow recurrent effects each turn, handy with the Pierce Strider or Inquisitor Exarch .I suppose I have 15 flicker cards here. I could sideboard the closet. My original idea had one of each of Pierce Strider and Peace Strider , mainly for flavour, Which would you pick over the other?
Pierce Strider . Agression over pacifism every time where possible :)
How about Venser, the Sojourner ?
They're a bit pricey but, have you considered using Restoration Angel ? They function similar to the Flickerwisp plus have flash and beefier stats. Or maybe keep both and drop the card:Conjurer's Closet?
Yeah. card:Conjurer's Closet is being sideboarded, probably just 2 as well. As to Restoration Angel , i think singles are really expensive in england, but if i can find one of them, it's going in. I think that practically every deck using it in the Pro Tour made it more valuable than crack.
No one really uses this, but Emancipation Angel might work as a cheap alternative to Restoration Angel. It has the added benefit of returning any permanent if you end up wanting to run oblivion rings to get rid of the indestructibles.
Thanks man. That's probably a good creature alternative to Excommunicate . You think?
Actually yeah, although Excommunicate can be used for opponent's creatures as well. Is there any other removal you could use for this? Oblivion Ring? Unsummon?
Just wanted to say your deck inspired me! I made an angel-themed version of this deck, Flickering Angels and went for some creature control instead of direct damage.

Grotski says...
Love the use of Galepowder Mage in this deck, i assume you mostly blink the splicers? Looked at any of the new, disruptive cards from Azorius? Thinking of blinking things like Azorius Justiciar in order to knock out their attackers for next turn or to disrupt any flying blockers
