Welcome Wierd Wizards!

My first custom built EDH deck. This was a fun project I created during the christmas holiday. Melek, Izzet Paragon was just a fun card I played with during the RTR standard. He was really fun but it felt like it lacked something. When he rotated I realised he could be a awesome commander and I started to Brainstorm ideas with a buddy of mine. Here you can see the final product of our thinking.

Wincons

The basics behind the deck is to get to different situations. There are currently 3 ways to win.

1: This decks main win is Laboratory Maniac, it revolves around Mystical Tutor for High Tide while Melek, Izzet Paragon is out to get enough mana to play Enter the Infninte, Laboratory Maniac and some sort of card that draws more than one card.

2: The second way is to storm the opponents out by using Ignite Memories, usually spells the end for most opponents but if your they have a lot of cheap cards it is not the way to go.

3: This wincon contains a little bit of a so called "infinite mana combo". The combo is to get Nivix Guildmage + Turnabout and make inf mana for something like Comet Storm. A real flurry of fire if you ask me!

Core

Well to win is fun but how do I get there to the magical land of awesomeness. All the card selection in the deck make this a more of reactive deck that can have all the zones active. What I mean by that is that both graveyard, library and hand.

With Melek, Izzet Paragon the top of library is active makes the card selection really efficent. While using the graveyard with cards like Past in Flames to make the strategies more effective. One can say that every zone is being used (not counting exile) which makes the deck fire on every cylinder once some cards have gotten into the graveyard and/or onto the battlefield.
