Maybeboard

Khans of Tarkir and Fate Reforged have brought about new play styles to Modern. Perhaps not top contenders within Modern right now, but I've moved away from wanting to be more competitive for the time being. Instead, I've opted for fun. And nothing is more fun to me than a good tempo deck. And thus, here is the path to master the Way of Tempo, Jeskai style!

The Way of Cunning:

The first step to master Tempo is the Way of Cunning. For this will be your defence when all else fails and will provide you with the opening needed to strike your opponent.

-Snapcaster Mage: Undoubtedly the champion creature of blue. Snapcaster brings the pain like no other, especially with a plethora of cheap spells at our disposal.

-Vapor Snag: Allows you to make an opening and throw your opponent back a turn. Best used if counter magic is on hand.

-Reality Shift: In my opinion this card is criminally underrated. See a Goyf? Reality Shift it! It is better to deal with a 2/2 than really anything else.

The Way of Fire:

The second step to master the Way of Tempo is to embrace The Way of Fire. This is your offence. Utilizing this effectively will leave your enemies as ashes.

-Monastery Swiftspear: A primary tool for offense. Prowess is not a mechanic that should be taken lightly, especially when a deck can cast several cheap spells in one go.

-Young Pyromancer: A thousand cuts will kill a man as effectively as a single mortal wound. Tokens are your friend here.

-Lightning Bolt: Lightning will always strike twice, or three times. Possibly four.

-Electrolyze: A decent burn spell to potentially remove weanies. It replaces itself, which is the main thing.

- Jeskai Charm : Every option here is useful, but it's mostly a finisher for 4 to the face.

The Way of Vigilance:

Cunning and Fire will get you far, but without Vigilance you are doomed to fail. To master the Way of Vigilance or to master your methods of defending yourself without Cunning or Fire.

-Path to Exile: Efficient removal at its finest. This will take care of anything you need it to.

-Boros Charm: Offensive and defensive power. Often I use this to save my small creatures for dying when blocking, however it can be good as a finisher or a means to get more damage in via double strike, like Jeskai Charm using this how you need to is all that matters.

-Restoration Angel: Flashes in to save a creature from removal and provides a decent body to defend or attack.

- Monastery Mentor : This card can be a finisher. Deceptively this is not a card that sees play on T3. It is best to wait until T4-T5. Play it and have a spell ready to cast. A single token will do.

A Note about Suggestions: Please note that I cannot afford a playset of any other fetchlands, such as Arid Mesa right now. I also realize I am missing a SacredFoundry. Furthermore, please provide a well reasoned comment if you are to make a suggestion. I would much rather read and essay that is well thought out than a comment along the lines of: "cool deck bruh". Failure to abide by these guidelines will see your comment removed.

Updates Add

The mainboard is where I want it to be for now. I may make small changes here and there. Mostly I still wish to test Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest. However I am now looking for sideboard help. Burn, Abzan, Affinity and Twin being my main competitors in my meta.
